In the past, my all time preference for my Fenders were maple boards, I just liked the feel and they seemed to have a slightly more warm tone than the rosewoods. My last 65' strat was an exceptional playing guitar and had a great tone but I always found myself picking up my Jap strat pictured above to plink around with over the 65'.

That is a beauty just1tym. I like maple fingerboards but I own way more guitars with rosewood. My two guitars with maple fingerboards don’t get played nearly enough. The Meteora looks and sounds cool but for $2k i don’t know. I’m tempted to buy a cheap D.I.Y. guitar kit, build a SG or something then try to build my own Meteora but with a humbucker.
