Is that color Sting Gray?

I bought a 2021 Jeep Gladiator in that color four months ago and love it. I'm sure you too will love yours.

Looks like silver to me.
Sting is more like a glossy primer & darker.

Mine is Sting Gray, photos sometimes are not particularly accurate as far as variations of color are concerned.

Very nice! Let me ask a question, however.

You seem to be getting ever more serious about your off roading, yet you bought the 4 door. I had always understood shorter wheelbase to be superior off road, both for maneuverability, high-center clearance, and weight.

Did you need the additional space offered by the 4 door, or just prefer it's on road manners? I ask, because a friend had a 4 door, and my thought was "this thing is HUGE" and I figured if I ever got one for off road and hunting, I would want the 2 door.

Great looking Rubicon, you're going to love it. I'm on my second one, 2014 JKUR, it's been great.

Super cool ride. Billet Silver is a great color. My Scat Pack is Billet Silver. You can’t tell from the pictures but it has a ton of metal flake in it. Chrysler owns the paint game. Congrats!

I wanted the space. While I am pretty serious about my offroad adventures, I'm only losing the breakover angle, which I lose a lot of. That said, I can make a trip to Costco and have room. Plus having backseat passengers get in and out of a two door is not a lot of fun.

Stopped by my Pop's house on the way to work. He really liked it and sure seems proud of me. Pretty cool.

That I can understand. The two door is very space limited.

Enjoy the hell out of it.

I always added a winch. Well, since about 1980 I have. Only needed a hi-lift once, and used a buddy's. If you really get serious about off roading, there is a bunch of stuff you'll want. What many of us discovered is it pretty much takes the entire time you own it to fully outfit the darn thing. Opinions vary, and we're a a pretty biased group. Doesn't hurt to ask, however.

Luck is on your side, the engines, at least the V6, is a good one. Makes a ton of horsepower when you need it. The best thing about the Rubicon option is the gearing. Well, that and the Dana 44 axles you've got to work on breaking. Keep in mind you can do it if you try hard enough.

The guy above who said its too clean....OK, but wash the crud off, or at least the underside. There's this stuff called rust, and its ugly.

At this point in the game the best thing you can buy is a tow strap. Not so much for you as for the others that will demand you pull them out of the fix they got themselves into. And look around for a jeep club to either join or visit with. They'll laugh at you for your totally stock jeep. They've spent years and a bunch of money on theirs. We all do that, and most isn't really necessary. But it does make you fit in.

Very nice. I like the color. Wife is asking for a 2 door one, to be pulled behind our motorhome. I checked dealership last Saturday. I was OK with the 2 door if the price was significantly cheaper than the 4 door. The price difference was about 1-1.5K, (doesn't matter which model). I told my wife we will get the 4 door, especially with 2 dogs.

Very cool! I recall the days of my bygone youth, when you could by a Jeep for a couple hundred bucks. And nobody would!

We flat-tow our 4-dr Jeep behind a gas RV. Don't even know it's there.

Flat towing behind my motor home is the big reason I bought my Jeep, loading and unloading my old Camry on a car dolly was to hard on my 66 year old body. Went to buy a two door Jeep, found them to be to small, I was looking at the four door models when my wife pointed out the Gladiator model. The rest as they say is history, plenty of storage space, plus a 5' pickup bed, and still light enough to pull behind my V 10 gas motor home. I am not an off roader per say, this will get me anywhere I am interested in going.

Beancooker - very, very nice.

Can anyone comment on current quality and reliability of the Jeep Wranglers?

I had a Sahara back around 2000 and loved it. It did have a few unexpected issues - such as fuel pump - that were addressed under warranty. We had our third child and I ended up selling for a bigger four door vehicle.

I have always wanted a Rubicon and my wife has commented multiple times about the Gladiator. While not as capable perhaps offroad as a Wrangler, if I can get her on board we might also swap out a Tacoma for a Jeep. My Tacoma has also been bullet proof as someone else mentioned.

Very nice Rubi!

I have a 2006 Long Jeep. Stock, with just a 3" Lift and bigger BFG tires. Bought it modded by previous owner.

Very good in snow! I'm liking it, but not off roaded yet. Too dang busy.

I have always kept my vehicles somewhat clean. Definitely the undersides. While rust isn't an issue here, I wouldn't want to give it an opportunity.

I already have a Yankum Ropes 30' x 7/8" rope, soft shackle, and two Crosby hard shackles. No issues pulling someone out.
