Just remember, ARs don't have to limit you to 5.56, either. It's a good place to start, but the possibilities are endless. I currently have 2 in 5.56 (one "working" carbine and an M16 clone), one in 9mm, and one in .22LR. I had a 6.5 Grendel at one point, which was a cool round but I was only using it to punch paper out to 200 yards and 5.56 can do the same thing for a lot less money. My buddy has recently done builds in .224 Valkyrie and .458 Socom, and a different buddy just picked up a CMMG Banshee in 10mm. Then if you want to get into suppressors, .300 blackout has a lot of appeal. The AR platform is a gateway drug to caliber proliferation! | |||

Exactly. Add .223 Remington to the ammo mix if one wants to shoot an AR15 accurately. | |||
