Why can't performers shut up and sing?
I don't need to know everyone's politics.

This is something Johnny Carson understood. He made fun of politicians without bring in his personal opinions. It's something the current crop of "comedians" doesn't get.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I've never heard of him. (Of course, that's not unusual since there are a lot of current "celebrities" I've never heard of--or even want to.)

Well apparently anyone with negitive comments is being banned from Church’s FB page.

He’s in full damage control mode apparently. I posted yesterday that he was going the way of the Dixie Chicks and today I can’t comment.

So, he is a bitch.
I read the article on FB. I have a feeling he is going to regret spending approx. $10M developing his property when he's a has been.

That’s a damn shame. I liked him until I read The Rolling Stones article:

https://www.rollingstone.com/m...ille-country-700750/

I’ve lost so much respect for him. Some points I got from the article:
1. He likes Bernie Sanders but wants less taxes.
2. He thinks it should be illegal to own 10,000 rds of ammo but it’s ok for him to own tons of lands and build a bunch of lakes.
3. He thinks that gigging real hard for a few months entitles him to the CMA Entertainer of the Year award that went to Garth Brooks and he is still bitching publicly about it. Sore fucking loser.
4. He thinks there’s a “gun show loophole”.
5. He blames the NRA for the murders that a lunatic committed.

He can kiss my ass.

Not to defend this imbecile's views on gun ownership, but is owning "tons of lands" not ok? What is the acceptable amount of land to own? Is it against the law or something? 'Cause I missed the memo.

I don't want to speak for choang but I think the point he was trying to make is the same one you're making. No law against owning as much land as you can just as there's no law against 10K ammo or as many guns as you want (at least not yet in California)

Btw, I don't know too much about current country music and I've never heard of Eric Church.

I think that is the point exactly. The fool is a huge hypocrite. Like he most likely agrees with taxing the rich, as long as the definition means someone richer than him.

He's a bitch. His sterilization of his FB account shows that he can't hack the heat, so they have pruned it back to make it look as if several have called him a bitch, and his "choir" has defended him. It's funny, he blames the NRA. But yet when shots rang out he ran like a coward. At another mass shooting this year, I ran into the building shortly after the shooting started. One of us is an NRA member. One isn't. Yeah, I'm part of the problem. :roll eyes:

Fuck Eric Church. He is a low life coward.

Thanks drew3630 and jljones, that’s exactly the point I was trying to make. I could’ve worded it more precisely. It should be none of Church’s business, or anyone else for that matter, how many cars, how much land, how many pairs of shoes, or many rounds ammo someone owns. It’s their hard earned money to do with as they please. Church’s beliefs are so full of inconsistencies and contradictions that I lost all respect for the fool. I pray that fellow country music listeners ourside of our great community here decide to hit him where it really hurts—his pocketbook.
