HRKZorin OS - opinons please
LinkWhats the scoop on this OS, my father got an email from a friend about it, and asked me to check it out, figured I'd ask here if anyone has used it, whats the upside, and downside.
He has a laptop with Win10, office, and does email, internet some documents and accounting.

SigJacketJust another repackaged Linux distro.
I would not necessarily switch unless there are known ways to do the same things he does now, specifically accounting.

rusbroIt's one of many Linux OSs you can install yourself. I tried it a couple of years ago when I was looking for a free OS to install on old XP machines.
I don't recall why I didn't stick with it. Nowadays when I want an Linux OS, I just use Ubuntu, or Xubuntu if I want a lighter OS for really old hardware. Linux Mint is also very popular.
You can get bogged down studying and trying a ton of different Linux OSs. My advice is if you have good cause to go away from Windows/Mac pick one of the really popular Linux distros, and stick with it, unless you just like installing and learning new OSs repeatedly.
An important note, if you have Windows-specific applications you need to run, just stick with Windows, rather than try to run a Windows emulator, IMO.

HRKThat's what I was thinking and I'd be the one having to learn it, not really interested in doing it to be honest..
