Today my heart is empty and I am crying like a man who lost a best friend, because I have.

Claire was the fourth Labrador to bless our home.

She was as healthy as an ox for 14 years. Two weeks ago, she began having seizures. Several trips to the Vet seem to bring her some relief, but this morning she let us know it was her time to leave.

You would think after three trips to the Rainbow Bridge, it might become less painful. That was not the case for me.

R.I.P. Claire

I am sorry. It does hurt so much. I have also found that experience does not make it better.
I am so very sorry for your hurting today, it reminds me a bit of my own pain and loss in this area also. My heart is with you today.

Our sincere condolences - Steve it never does get easier, each and every once that we escort to the Rainbow Bridge takes a bit of us with them. We, in turn, keep a piece of them with us, always. We hope we can all be reunited when the time comes.
