I’ve abandoned my wife in the theater. I can’t go back in there. Good god it is boring.
The last time I did this to the wife was when she made me take her to see Sex & the City 2. It was 2 hours 26 minutes. I think I made it to the 5 minute mark. When I waited for her to come out, two other men walked out with their ladies. They looked like they needed therapy and a bottle.

My wife and I both really enjoyed “Wednesday”, so I watched the Tonight Show when Jenna Ortega was on it recently. They showed a clip from “Beetlejuice 2”, and there’s no way I’d go see it. If they can’t make a one minute clip look good, I think it’s in trouble.

I'm going to bring up the Gay Cake™ thread.

She wanted to go to the movies and you just left her there in a huff. I go to movies with Tabitha I'm not particularly interested in, but it makes her happy.

I go to movies she doesn't like with her son so I am happy.

Now that Tabs is going through the cancer therapy, there is a chance that I wouldn't have her around very long, so I don't begrudge her a stupid movie or two.

Mars, I didn’t leave in a huff, I left to use the facilities. It was boring enough that I had no interest in watching the end. If what you have to contribute to the thread is negative, it’s probably best to just move on to a different thread.

I thought about going to see it because I really like Jenna Ortega (she is a total hoot in "Wednesday"), but it sounds like I may just wait until it hits NetFlix or some other streaming platform...

Edit: Just watched a few trailers and it is something that I will watch, whether it is in the theatre or at home is to be determined. I like Tim Burton stuff, and as already mentioned I like Jenna Ortega (and Wynona Rider), so it's a "Go" for me.

No need to get upset. People are just pointing out this should have been in the, already existing thread, in the Lair. I mean, it's pretty well established that we don't post duplicate threads.

My post pointing out a differing opinion (in the Lair) is case in point. Not sure why your opinion should have it's own thread in the Lounge.

I was not aware of an existing thread. It definitely is not deserving of a second thread. The suggestions about the one shot bottles is kind of a ‘DUH, why didn’t I think of that’ moment. I’ll not be making that mistake again. Especially since this time the Mrs. took exception to me ditching her. Another mistake I’ll make sure I don’t repeat.
