Being someone who saltwater fish's in the Pacific ocean. There are several in my community of fishermen that are very satisfied with the Benchmade Fillet knife. They claim the hold an edge very well but must be sent back to BM for sharpening. I am happy with other brands that serve me well. But to benefit Dave I will consider one. Even though I hear they are rather spendy. David, If you see this send me a price on your group by for one Plz.

Congrats on adding a quality knife Co. brand to your store.

I’m interested. Will there be an option for an OTF auto knife?

I bought a 940 Osborne atleast 20 years ago for a steal, 75$, girl at a gun show made a mistake and her boyfriend was po’d. Anyway I used it to open the tab on a brake fluid bottle and it discolored the blade. My fault. Mailed it to Benchmade and they replaced the blade no questions asked. Their service seems to be damn good. They are high priced though. Then again I just bought a ZT Magnacut folder and it wasn’t cheap either.

Nugent must have forgiven Benchmade. After visiting their site earlier today, the algorithm randomly presented this video posted 4 days ago.

I am in Long Beach now. We go within a few blocks of Mimi's on the way to my doctor appointments. I have been planning to drop in for at least a watchband or maybe a watch. I can check out the knives now. I used to go through Oregon City right by Benchmade. Never stopped though

When I was in Vegas with my son at the Shot Show Jon deAsis, Pres of Benchmade, treated my son very well and spent a lot of time with him answering questions.
I appreciate that. Those of you with kids do too.

Dependent on the models available, I will be participating in the group buy.

I wish David and Jon the best and I feel that I am in good company concerning the buy.

Will this include automatic Benchmades? I'm unaware of the current laws/restrictions in California and how that may affect Dave's business. In KY you can buy an auto in the mall.

Big fan of Dave. Done business with him before and will again. I understand his side of this so none of this is directed towards him.

I don’t understand why anyone would support a proven enemy of gun owners. They not
Only cut up a bunch of guns, they routinely donate to the groups that want to take guns away from us.

All of that is out the window for a discount on a knife??? That would be very disconcerting to say the least. How soon we forget.

We've forgotten nothing.

Benchmade is one of the largest manufacturers of knives in the United States, with annual revenues somewhere between 100 million and 250 million dollars. How much difference in those numbers do you think a small group buy makes?

Dave Truong is a longtime member and a generous friend to the forum. He gives away items in the forum each month and he provides great deals and service to the members. In contrast to the microscopic blip this group buy is on Benchmade's radar, it represents vital business to Dave.

I told Dave and I'll tell you and everyone else- if this request had come from most other vendors in the forum, the answer would have been no.

Posts like yours, attempting to oversimplify the matter and failing to recognize who actually benefits from this group buy, are precisely why I created this thread.

If you can't see that this is a good thing, and would rather publicly posture on unyielding principle, have at it, but do not think for a second that you're going to shame me or those who support a good friend of the forum.

I can get over the scandal.. I just realized that I don't care for their product anymore. I am a big fan of Hogue Knives and if I was in the market I would buy one of theirs!!!!

I don’t know about “must be sent back to BM for sharpening”, but Benchmade has a Lifesharp program where you send the knife to them and they sharpen it for free for life. I think you’re on the hook for shipping, however, Camp & Pack, a local Army Navy Surplus store and BenchMade dealer gathers up knives from customers, ships them to BenchMade for sharpening at their cost, and gets them back from Benchmade with orders, so free sharpening with no cost shipping.

Don’t want to clutter up Dave’s thread but what I want is an auto or OTF.
Don’t think they can send me one from CA.

You could think that or you could send an email to Dave and ask to know for sure.

Again, Dave is 1000% stand up guy. If he called me today and told me he needed bail money, I’d send it.

Nike is a $46 BILLION company and they have lost 80% of their market share and lost their seat on the S&P 100 today because people are sick of their woke crap. It can be done.

Thanks to both Para and Dave for arranging this group buy. I've carried and used Benchmade knives for decades and they've served me well.

I need to review my knife inventory. I'm pretty well set for a long time with EDC and around-the-house utility knives. My primary need anymore is replacing ones I loose from sheep-dip moments while working outdoors at the family ranch. I changed to orange-handled folding work knives to reduce the losses when one was pulled from my pocket -- I see the bright orange ones better on the ground. Dave's a good guy, and I'm willing to support him.

What, do you have a reading comprehension issue? Is this your first day here? You're actually going to come into this thread, after I took the time to explain all of this to you, and say some silly, pointless shit like "It can be done"?

Again, I ask you- are you having difficulty reading? I chose to allow this. Comprende? Se habla motherfucking English?

Coming in here, AGAIN, and for what? To pervert the point I made about who actually benefits from this group buy, and you're telling me about Nike? You have missed the point entirely and I DO NOT APPRECIATE ONE SINGLE BIT you coming back in here and YAMMERING THIS TRULY SILLY SHIT.

Ridiculous! What the fuck are you even talking about?

I don't want to hear how much you think of Dave, because you cannot even comprehend what's going on here, so just cool your self-righteous little jets.

Got that?

It’s quite apparent who actually reads all of a thread before posting! Hasn’t Para requested that people read the thread before posting?
At 2:08 PM on the 18th, the first day of the thread, Dave posted about Benchmade and a possible change in political direction under the son’s guidance as his father, the founder passed.
And yet we still have members here whining about what they did a few years ago.
