LeeannNice save!
I do my husband’s hair, but I start with a #8 then go to a #7 (or 6, depending on the time of year) for the sides and back.

benny6I always wanted my son to have a high and tight. I just had good justification this time. I did warn him and the wife that he could look like Charlie Brown when this is all over.

texassierraI had to pull out the trimmer last Saturday. Used the #4 all around and it turned out good. Just couldn't trim up the back hairline but it's manageable for now.

Excam_ManBuy a trimmer that comes with different guide combs.
Makes for a simple hair cut. I normally use 3/8 for Summer.
Do it myself and it comes out great.

taco68Awesome job Dad! I am two months behind on a haircut myself. Getting ready for the S/O to cut mine. I keep mine really short, so it is not to shaggy now, but more than I like. Im thinking #4 all over, then go down as needed, lol!

My normal has been a 4 on top & 2 on the sides/back.
We'll see how that goes when I get around to picking up a trimmer. Given what the couple places nearby (SportClips & TuneUp) charge, it'll pay for itself pretty quickly.

trebor44Bubbs Creek haircut is the ideal. All you need is the number 2 guide on the clippers.

InusuitOP, do you make house calls? I could use a cut.

smlsigWe’re getting pretty shaggy here at SML.
My wife was talking to her hair dresser a couple of days ago and set up for her to come to our house tomorrow. We contacted a few neighbors who will also be participating.
Cash only, must wear a mask (that should be interesting) and it will be in our garage if it’s raining which may be the case.
It reminded me of what we did when I was growing up. The day after school got out every kid, and I mean every kid, in our neighborhood came over to our house. My Dad set a kitchen chair out in the driveway and gave all of us crew cuts. You should have seen the pile of hair when he finished!!
Good memories.

That's exactly right too. Told my buddy who was on the fence this morning you feel like a dog after he gets a bath. Charging around the house all fired up jumping on couches and stuff. It just makes you wanna run fast or something.
Been cutting my own hair since I was 13. I've gotten pretty good at it.
Nice job Tony. I think it looks good now. Looks like your wife lost a guard mid swipe or got scared and threw in the towel.

wxdaveWell, this thread inspired me. I broke out my Wahl clippers that have been dormant for years. My wife and I watched a few youtube videos and she cut my hair. It turned out great! I wasn't expecting much, but I'm pretty happy with it. After having a military cut since I was 18, it drives me crazy for my hair to get long.
