I thought that if an invader does break into your home, you were supposed to ask them if anyone knows they are hear, and if they do answer no, then the fun begins, no? https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

No better than the UK. I just retook my annual safety and such training... 10 minute section on "Run, Hide, Tell". Seriously, that is the name of the section and based on the official advice of the UK. Even had to watch a ~4 minute UK.gov produced "Run, Hide, Tell" video. (Sickening) I do try to see the good and humor in things... So there is one part that was spit take funny to me. Right after "Run" they clearly note (Multiple times) "Don't let others slow you down"

Some citizens in Alberta aren't going to take it lying down. 15 seconds in, "l will not be handing them over to the Federal Government, because I'm not supposed to give my firearms to criminals." https://youtube.com/watch?v=5KG-m0FbFrY&si=wSEdnX_OcvUywHpu Canada has a lot of similarities to the US. Poon Tang attempts to "clarify" his remarks, but it's just about the same as before. https://www.westernstandard.ne...rmed-intruders/67294 York Region Police Chief Jim MacSween sought to walk back the controversial “guidance” he issued in the wake of a recent surge in violent home invasions, including the murder of 49-year-old Abdul Aleem Farooqi on Friday. In a statement, MacSween extended condolences to Farooqi’s family and acknowledged the anger sparked by his earlier remarks. “When I told citizens not to take matters into their own hands, it had nothing to do with politics, or with concern over force used against the perpetrators of home invasions,” he said. “It was suggested as a tactic in the hopes of preserving lives, should citizens be confronted with an armed intruder.” The chief’s earlier suggestion that residents should avoid engaging with intruders was met with strong criticism, especially after Farooqi, a husband, father, and community leader was killed during a violent break-in. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre blasted the message, countering comments from Justice Minister Sean Fraser, who said Canada is “not the Wild West.” Poilievre responded: “My message is that we want to end the Wild West, lock up the criminals and throw away the key. People have a right to defend their home. Your home is your castle. Someone comes into your house and threatens your family, you should have the right to take force against them.” MacSween also addressed reports that police were slow to respond to the Farooqi homicide. While some media suggested it took as long as 13 minutes, the chief said officers were dispatched within 40 seconds and arrived on scene in 4.5 minutes. “Our top priority is solving this heinous, disgusting crime and ensuring those responsible are held accountable,” he said. The chief emphasized there is no one-size-fits-all response to home invasions, but stressed that calling 911 and avoiding direct confrontation is generally safest. Still, he conceded that “a citizen should do what they deem necessary to preserve their own safety, and the safety of their loved ones.” Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and Ontario Premier Doug Ford echoed similar sentiments, both calling for Canadians to have stronger rights to defend themselves in their own homes. Farooqi had been photographed with Ford a year prior with Ford referring to him as a "friend" several times in a press conference.

In the Wild West, you could shoot back at your assailant and kill him. Gender-confused man charged with sexually assaulting toddler after breaking into Ontario home https://www.lifesitenews.com/n...-09&utm_medium=email An Ontario gender-confused man broke into a family home and assaulted a toddler during the night. According to a September 1 police report, 25-year-old Daniel Senecal was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a child under age five after breaking and entering an Ontario home and attacking a child. “Upon arrival, uniform patrol officers observed the front door to the residence showing signs of having been forced open,” the report stated. “Further observations confirmed the involved child was suffering from serious injuries prompting an immediate criminal investigation.” The assailant’s Facebook profile includes “she/her” pronouns and the transgender and LGBT flags. The break-in and assault took place sometime between 10 p.m. August 30 and 8:59 a.m. August 31. Early in the morning, police arrived at a residential address located near Crowland Avenue and York Street in Welland. Niagara Emergency Medical Service paramedics were also present and provided medical assistance to the child. The child was transported to the hospital to receive further medical care and remains in stable condition. Senecal has been charged with aggravated sexual assault on a person under 16 years, assault, assault by choking, breaking and entering, and sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age. The police report classified Senecal was an “unknown person.” However, according to a report by the National Post, friends of the child’s mother have attested that Senecal had previous contact with the family and the young girl who was assaulted. Another neighbor revealed that Senecal had also attacked her young son in 2021. After the assault, Senecal was charged with 18 months in jail but was released six months early in March. “To be honest, I feel like I failed,” the mother told the National Post. “I feel like I failed to get him locked up longer. I feel like I failed as a parent to protect any other children from getting hurt. When I seen (a picture of him), my heart sunk. I felt like I wasn’t heard enough by the probation officer.” Unfortunately, gender-confused men assaulting young children is not a new phenomenon. A repeat child sex offender in Georgia was allowed to play against teen girls in a tennis competition after successfully disguising the fact that he is male by identifying as transgender. Poilievre calls for an end to Canada’s ‘catch and release’ laws after man dies defending his home https://www.lifesitenews.com/n...-09&utm_medium=email Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre criticized the Mark Carney government, saying Canadians have the right to defend their homes against criminals In light of a rash of recent home invasions in Canada, one of which resulted in the death of a 46-year-old father defending his family home, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre lashed out at Mark Carney’s “catch and release” bail laws, saying they need to be rescinded while adding Canadians have a “right” to defend their homes. “It has been a show about nothing in Mr. Carney’s government,” Poilievre told reporters at a press conference recently. “But unfortunately, it has been a horror show in our communities,” he added, noting the recent increase in violent home invasions plaguing Canada. The conservative leader called out the Carney Liberals “catch and release” bail system, saying it’s time those laws, which hail from the Trudeau era, to be removed so that repeat offenders stay in jail. “Three strikes, you’re out. You commit three violent offenses, you go to jail, and you never get out,” Poilievre said to reporters. Specifically, Poilievre referenced a fatal home invasion that recently occurred in Waterloo, Ontario, that saw a father of three shot dead in front of his kids and family after his home was invaded. Public furor over the shooting intensified after York Regional Police Chief Jim MacSween suggested victims of home intruders try not to defend their family and home, saying, “the best defense is to comply.” Ontario Premier Doug Ford blasted Carney’s catch-and-release laws, blaming the federal government’s policies for the shooting. “I watch when they catch these guys. I almost guarantee you, they’ve been out on bail for another heinous crime,” he said to reporters. “The federal government is more worried about going after legal hunters and gun owners than criminals. That’s what they need to do,” he added. Poilievre calls for ‘Castle Laws’ in Canada While speaking to reporters, Poilievre blasted the Carney Liberals for their soft-on-crime stance, saying that if Canada wants to “end the Wild West,” it needs to “lock up the criminals and throw away the key.” “People have a right to defend their home. Your home is your castle,” he said. “Someone comes into your house and threatens your family, you should have the right to take force against them.” Poilievre added that should his party ever form government, it would introduce the “Stand on Guard Act,” which he said would strengthen Canada’s self-defense rights and make sure repeat offenders stay in jail. “Three strikes, you’re out,” he said. “You commit three violent offenses, you go to jail, and you never get out … “Seniors are afraid to go outside. Parents are afraid to let their children play alone. Canadians are afraid their car might be stolen.” Earlier this year, Poilievre gained the support of the Toronto Police Association (TPA). The TPA’s endorsement came after two other large Canadian police unions, the Durham, Ontario, Regional Police Association and the Peel, Ontario, Regional Police Association, backed Poilievre for prime minister, citing his promises to reform Canada’s bail system and to “hold criminals accountable” for their crimes. _________________________
