My folks are snow birds; have been since the 80s. They are getting older and spending the vast majority of their time in Tampa. I’ve asked them to find docs there, but neither feels confident choosing well. None of their docs here feel comfortable recommending anyone.
Mom has friends at church she’s checked in with; Dad has fishing buddies, but none seem really happy with their docs.

Does anyone have a recommendation on a good facility or physician (mom wants a female internist, ideally, I don’t think dad cares so long as he and the doc get along). Thanks for any thoughts.

Inquire at Moffitt Cancer Center, they may have a referral service.

I have been consistently impressed with USF Health. They have a very robust medicine program that includes Moffitt Cancer Center: https://health.usf.edu/care/in...l-medicine/providers. I would start there.

This is the truth, my doctor, which was my parents doctor, gave up his practice because of Obama's bullcrap!!

Thanks for the input guys, I’ll continue to pass this info along.. please add any more names and clinics as you see fit- and please, no politics. Just trying to find a good doc for my folks, one that they don’t have to drive too far to see.

My DIL has Multiple Myeloma, we took her to MD Anderson in Houston Tx. GR8 place, can't say enough good things about them.In total remission now. Takes her drugs orally and has her blood work done twice monthly.

We are snowbirds, in Kissimmee.

The facility at Advent Health is Amazing.

My wife used it last year and was very happy with the care she received.

It is highly rated.
