https://thenationalpulse.com/2...mong-u-s-electorate/ More than half of the American electorate – 52 percent – say that either they or someone in their household owns a firearm, which represents the highest number on records that began in 1999, according to a recent NBC News national poll. Pollsters, who surveyed 1,000 registered U.S. voters, learned that gun ownership has increased by six percent over the past four years. Exactly two-thirds of Republican voters are in close proximity to firearms, compared to 45 percent of independents, and 41 percent of Democrats. Notably, the largest increase in gun ownership occurred among Democrat voters, rising eight percent since 2019. White voters own firearms at the highest rate at 56 percent – a three percent increase compared to 2019. Among black voters, gun ownership rose a whopping 17 percent in just four years from 24 percent to 41 percent. “In the last ten years, we’ve grown [10 points] in gun ownership. That’s a very stunning number,” explained Micah Roberts, who was involved in conducting the survey. “By and large, things don’t change that dramatically that quickly when it comes to something as fundamental as whether you own a gun,” he added. _________________________

Here in almost gun-free UK, I have enough firearms for my own household and twenty-three others. Uncertain about the level of gun ownership among ethnic minorities, but in our 450+ member club, we have a number - maybe half a dozen - of what you would call Asians [people from the Indian sub-continent], doctors and medical specialists of one kind or another, and a couple [man and wife] team of black Caribbeans.
