Rev. A. J. ForsythDriving on plugged tire?
I plugged hundreds of tires in the mid to late '90s whilst working at a service station in high school. The owner would let us keep the $15 we charged. That bought a full tank in my '77 CJ-5! I never had one come back, not ever. The plugs with a soft chemical "sleeve" that you mix with glue become one with the rubber of the tire.
I wouldn't give it a second thought.

wolfe 21Tire patched Tuesday morning at the local shop. $22 later and good to roll.
Now I need to find a good spare. Mine is shot, thus causing the issues with the plugged tire to begin with. Yeesh.

Dang! Our local shop fixes flats for free. The quad / Kubota RTV / other ranch equipment gets plugs to start. On the rare occasions those don’t hold, they pop the tire off and patch it. I’m going to have to start making bigger contributions to the beer kitty when I pick up based on the above numbers.
