What Is Your Favorite Sport? Login/Join

Now that most sports are unable to be played, because of things of which we simply will not speak of here, you have probably been missing your favorite sport. I know most of us enjoy shooting sports. What other sports do you enjoy?

What is your favorite sport, either as a participant, spectator, or both? Are there any that you are particularly good at? Maybe some that you are bad at but keep trying anyway? What sport brings you the most joy?

Please explain.

Professional Sports, such as the NFL and NBA, have worn out my patience and I no longer watch that bunch of overpaid prima donnas.

Having said that, I actually enjoy watching the Lumberjack competitions. Those guys (and Ladies) are good at what they do, and there's no political protesting or other crap going on.

Yes, I know, lumberjacks, who'd have ever thought of that.

I don't watch as much as I used to. I enjoy playing and watching tennis the most.

Also like watching football, although like most pro sports, it's painfully slow.

Also like playing golf, and any pickup game (soccer, football, kickball, baseball) when the opportunity arises, which is rare.

For me the joy of playing sports is the competition, challenge to improve myself, exercise, and the social aspect of it.

I loves me some "Jarts", those lawn darts you throw at one another. Loads of fun for the whole family.

Love watching motorcycle racing, especially Moto GP. Not too dull like most others. Womens volleyball is great to watch also.

Formula 1

Was going to give MotoGP a shot, then the world went into lockdown.

As a participant, I did a fair amount of amateur Autocross in college.
Kart racing as well (rentals). Almost got into it for real, but reconsidered on cost-consideration. Maybe one day.

My favorite sport to watch is college football, hands down. I'm very interested to see how that will "look" this season.

Back in the day, my favorite sport to play was basketball...now it's the occasional racquetball game with my son.

Hockey. Played AA growing up until I was 19. Quit to be a jackass instead of playing in college or juniors.

Still screw around in the beer leagues.

Love watching hockey at playoff time till the cup. Nothing like it from my point of view. Grew up in Chicago and love the Hawks. Best looking sweater in the league.

I did the powerlifting thing for a decade or so and still train. Not particularly good at it.

College football and F1. Looks like were getting the latter back in 3 weeks, and I'm optimistic that some sort of college football season will exist.

Rugby Union. Played at school and for my company briefly. When on assignment in West Africa in the 1960's played for expat teams in Ghana (Accra) and Nigeria (Appapa and Lagos). Still love watching the occasional game...
