tatortoddShould I paint my new motorcycle fairing?
I added a Memphis Shades bullet fairing to my motorcycle. I'm kind of torn whether or not to:<BR> <LI> paint it silver to match the fenders, gas tank, and trim<BR> <LI> leave it black (less work and the motorcycle has other black out trim).<BR><BR>Front View (only have pic w/ fairing):<BR><a href="https://postimages.org/" target="_blank"><IMG class="inline_image" SRC="https://i.postimg.cc/QdqJWCmM/Photo-Jun-09-2-10-55-PM.jpg"> </a><BR><BR>Side View w/o Fairing:<BR><a href="https://postimages.org/" target="_blank"><IMG class="inline_image" SRC="https://i.postimg.cc/s1dvTPjR/Photo-May-04-3-00-46-PM.jpg"> </a><BR><BR>Side View w/ Fairing:<BR><a href="https://postimages.org/" target="_blank"><IMG class="inline_image" SRC="https://i.postimg.cc/ZqKFPmsx/Photo-Jun-09-2-11-49-PM.jpg"> </a>Should I paint the fairing silver to match?Strong Preference - paint silverMild Preference - paint silverI'm torn too (no preference)Mild Preference - leave blackStrong Preference -leave black

BytesPainted silver it will not look like an add-on. Not much effort to do it either. That being said it doesn't look bad at all with all the black on your bike.

gearhoundsIf I did, I'd have it done professionally done and perfectly paint matched, but yes I would paint it.

matching the engine and frame, a very stylish idea. the only concern is how the wind screen would still be shiny.

AeteoclesSpray on Plasti-Dip Matte Black.
Peel off when it gets dinged up with bugs and rocks, and spray it again for a fresh look.

P250UA5Looks good in black to me.
Would only paint silver if you could match the OE silver.

.38supersigThinking the black would do better with the smoked windscreen.
Nice bike either way.

Paint the windscreen the same flat black. You don't need to see through it, do you? You aren't going to duck that low.

StramboI think it looks good as-is...but your poll doesn't have the option I'd really pick. I'd go hunting for a small silver vinyl decal to add an accent.
I'd probably make the black matte as well, just use a matte clear spray paint.

ZSMICHAELOn second thought OLD Gold and Black.

SpinZoneI vote paint it to match.
I think that it looks awkward with that big black blob between the fender and the gas tank. Painting it would balance out the colors better.

Good point.

TRshootemI think the Black looks like it belongs. Some pin stripe or something on the tank and fenders would add some personal statement, allowing the fairing to blend in, all natural looking and such.
