Excellent! Another thing for Trump to cross off "I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965

I believe that by pardoning him now, pre sentencing, it precludes the judgment of conviction which was never entered, like it never even happened. I believe sentencing was set for October 5 and he could have been sentenced to 6 months in jail. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me. When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Pretty much says what I want to say. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." So I know the liberals are going to cry foul, but have a look at this, While Sheriff Joe was looking at 6 months for a misdemeanor, down south a little in Pima county the second sheriff in command was facing a little more time than that. 7 FELONYS for EMBEZZLEMENT and MONEY LAUNDERING of almost HALF A MILLION DOLLARS but he got his own little pardon, but not from the President, from our corrupt liberal judges down here. FUCKING PROBATION........and retains his pension FUCK THE LIBERALS!!!!!! http://www.azcentral.com/story...es-pension/97758066/

PAR EXCELLENCE Just look at his public service: President Trump has pardoned former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. A statement was released, calling the sheriff a worthy candidate of a presidential pardon. Trump pointed out Arpaio's 50 years in public service, starting with the Korean War and said he worked to protect the public from "scourges of crime and illegal immigration." Arpaio was convicted of criminal contempt for refusing to follow a judge's order and stop his immigration patrols. He was supposed to be sentenced in October, and had faced up to six months in jail. Today, President Donald J. Trump granted a Presidential pardon to Joe Arpaio, former Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona. Arpaio's life and career, which began at the age of 18 when he enlisted in the military after the outbreak of the Korean War, exemplify selfless public service. After serving in the Army, Arpaio became a police officer in Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas, NV and later served as a Special Agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), formerly the Bureau of Narcotics. After 25 years of admirable service, Arpaio went on to lead the DEA's branch in Arizona. In 1992, the problems facing his community pulled Arpaio out of retirement to return to law enforcement. He ran and won a campaign to become Sheriff of Maricopa County. Throughout his time as Sheriff, Arpaio continued his life's work of protecting the public from the scourges of crime and illegal immigration. Sheriff Joe Arpaio is now eighty-five years old, and after more than fifty years of admirable service to our Nation, he is a worthy candidate for a Presidential pardon. http://www.fox5dc.com/news/276165481-story 41

Got to love the comments from those two idiots. Wouldn't that then apply to ANY pardon? What of all those Obama authorized over the years? Criminals who pushed drugs that the media covered to hide that they used firearms?

Personally I believe people in positions of "Public Service" should be held to a higher standard. Especially the police and judges etc. ____________________________________________________ The butcher with the sharpest knife has the warmest heart.

Now in Florida |
The pardon was the right thing to do. What should have been a simple civil contempt matter was prosecuted criminally for nakedly partisan political reasons by the Obama administration. It. is fitting then that the political act of a pardon puts an end to the matter
