Very similar to Colbert, Stern has gone the way of the dodo bird. Not only too expensive to support, but his commie politics are no longer popular; I read last night on the Dailymail that his numbers used to be in the millions, but now hundreds of thousands. And turning his back on his built-in audience doesn't help either.

Good riddance.

listened to him a bit when he was on local radio, but got tired of what seemed to be the same ole same ole every day,
that and sometimes they dragged the joke out or the interviews out so long, I was already at work or my destination before it was done,

(and I had a 30 minute commute)

friend has XM/Sirius just for Stern, but he can listen at work and on the road,

personally, I dropped Sirius/XM long ago, thought they dropped significantly in quality when they merged with XM and all the good XM went away

over 20 years ago he was funny, remember having a rep tune him in while we were working NYC, guy went mental, all masked up, hiding during covid, calling out non vax people, hate on Trump to the point he told listeners to not tune in if you are Trump fan.

Wonder if XM was getting any money through USAID, notice all the lefty programming dropping once that money pit dried up.

Used to do crazy stuff and made a cool $100 mill

Guess he thought he was untouchable, he'll end up doing a podcast from his home...

He stopped being relevant around 15-years ago. While streaming was initially beneficial as his audience exploded in size, the flip-side is it also opened up the opportunities for many others to have similar shows. Once podcasting became more mature and easier to produce, then it became a more rapid decline as the market thinned-out. His behavior during Covid was the nail in his coffin, it was then he should've shifted to a different format.

Stopped listening a long time ago. Picked up a little here and there, but he went off the deep end during COVID.

I never found Stern to be funny just obnoxious so never listened to him and won't miss him when his show is off the air. His ratings must have seriously tanked so maybe he had more Trump supporters listening than he thought and when he told them to stop listening they stopped listening.

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

Listened to him a couple times many years ago and was negatively impressed.
He wasn't too bad when he was a judge on AGT but have not heard him since.

Yep. He has permanent covid-itis. Scaredy cat to do anything because he is a germaphobe if that is the correct spelling. His schtick was played out 25 to 30 years ago, shit, maybe longer.

Funny, way way back in his AM radio days and somewhat beyond, his personal politics were fairly conservative.

That changed over time, especially after getting remarried. The power of the P?

Heard him once and didn't like him. Never listened to him again.

Not going to pay money to listen to SiriusXM.

I read today that his highest point on Sirius, he had 20 million daily listeners. Today, he averages 125K.

I really slowed up on listening during the 2016 election after he just touted Hillary over and over. I still listened but not regularly. Then during Covid, I finally had enough and stopped listening.

2 years ago my wife told me I can get rid of her subscription in her truck (she wasn't a howard listener, just tired of sirius xm overall). We did keep it in the vehicle I drive though as we use that for all of our long over the road travel. I mainly listen to 80's on 8 and classic vinyl. Occasionally listen to some sports while traveling.

Back in 2002-2004, I used to have a job that was fairly boring and the radio kept me company. I listened to Howard, but he was just okay.

Tired of the obnoxious humor, I found Rush Limbaugh. I was absolutely hooked. Then the Michael Medved show was on. Loved radio back then.

I am not sure he has been relevant for over a decade. I got XM a couple years ago with my new jeep. I liked it so I keep upping it for the $4 per month deals. I have not once even considered listening to his show...
