Thank you Very little |
Got the Airpod Pro's for Christmas, as stated they have 3 different rubbery tips so you find what fits, they stay in, don't hurt like others I've had. If those don't work there are companies that will make them from impressions you take of your ear and then you'll have custom fit units. Big Ear Link

As another said, I think I understand what you were specifying. I recently needed to get a pair as my iPhone speaker/mic is giving up the ghost. I’ve never seem to find a good fit with most sit in the earlobe devices, so I was looking for what you described in buds that fit in the canal. I would have probably gone with the Apple EarPod pro models, but to save a little money for now I went with a friends suggestion of the Anker Liberty Air 2 Pro. Yes they need to work on naming conventions across their earbud lineup. I chose them mainly (over the non-pro model) for their six mics for the best calling quality. They fit exactly as I was hoping according to what you were describing in your original post. They sound great and the only two knocks I have are the touch controls could be a bit better and no bluetooth multipoint to connect to more than one device simultaneously. That satisfies your original question, but I will mention a couple things for those who care. They have a great app for assuring you’ve got a sufficient seal, which obviously makes all the difference in achieving the best sound. It uses a test pattern from the phone and listens through the mics and pods to determine the seal. It worked really well, because I thought the seal was okay but they kept failing the test and they sounded like shit. It wasn’t until I found the right tips that the app verified the seal was secure and by that point the sound was amazing. It also had other cool EQ features and soundstages. On a side note to anyone looking for earbuds in general wired or not, for the first time, a lot of the ear tips for sale have been kind of universal for a long time. For example with all the ear tip sizes that came with my choice above, the ones that that are most comfortable that I ended up using are my favorite “Christmas tree” style silicone tips from my favorite wired ear buds from a decade ago, and they slip on perfectly with these new buds.

Take a look at UE Fits. They have a larger 'tip' than most that is a UV hardened material. It's soft - you put it in your ear and then hit the button the app to fit them. The material hardens while in your ear and you have a great fit as a result. They do make replacement tips if you mess up or need a different size. UE fits I reject your reality and substitute my own. --Adam Savage, MythBusters

So I made the trip to Costco yesterday. The Beats went back. I really wanted to buy the AirPods Pro, but they are the exact same shape as the beats, at least the part that fills the concha cavum. Makes sense that you would keep the same mold for earbuds, when you’re the number one earbud selling company on the planet. I could have bought them, tried them and if I didn’t like them, return them. I know that’s the Costco policy and they are okay with it. I’m not okay with buying a $200 product, knowing the odds of return are in the high 90 percentile. I rolled the dice on the Bose Quiet Comfort. They’re big. And comfortable. But Jesus Christ, these things are big. The upside is that straight out if the box I can wear them. They are so comfortable. I wore them for hours last night and had no issues at all. The concha cavum is filled with soft, supple silicone rubber and no hard plastics. I am slightly interested in the UE Fits, but for the time being, I’ll stick with the Bose. The “lol” thread

Airpods don't fit my and just fall out. Air Pods Pro are better and stay in most of the time, but can still fall out. Any kind of Bose earpud stays in because the rubber hook looks into the outer ear. I use the large ones usually, but medium work too.

Both my wife and I have the Apple Earbud Pros. We love them. We just finished 5 plane connections. These totally mute the screaming kids along with the drone of the engines. I use mine to mow our place on my Kubota zero-turn while listening to tunes. If I’m calling for customer service - you know, one of those long calls- I put these in first for excellent hearing and talk. On a plane or on my mower I always put a lanyard on them so I can’t drop one. Well the saga of the guy with messed up ears continues… The Bose fit great. So comfortable. And huge. So big that they were a little bit of an issue. The controls weren’t so great. Switching between devices was a pain, and the deal breaker was that I sounded like I was calling on a Taco Bell drive thru from the 90’s. After multiple “what”, and “say that again”, then being asked to “take me off the can speaker”, these were gone. The Bose went back. The AirPods Pro. They fit. You can kind of twist them in a weird way that works okay. The ear cones are different sized from left to right, but they seem to work. The noise cancellation silences the televangelists pretty well. Sound quality is great. I might have to write up a review based on all my recent trials of earbuds, since this thread was geared more toward fit, and not overall rating. The “lol” thread

I'm the same, never like the earpods. Tried the Bose, they are pretty good. Tried a few different pair of some chinese brands that were ok. Finally sacked up and got the Jabra 8t, hands down the best I've ever tried. Excellent fit, small enough that they don't fill my ear cavity, comfortable, tend to stay put when exercising and the sound quality with noise cancellation is superior. _____________________________________ "We must not allow a mine shaft gap."
