So my state (NJ) was very hard hit, but we are beginning to come out of it. Restaurants (except for takeout) are still closed. Gyms are still closed. Barbers and hair stylists are still closed. (There is no exception for hair cuts in private homes. You could cut your family's hair of course, but no others.) We finally opened the non-food stores with max 50% capacity. There were so many unemployment claims the average processing time for an unemployment claim was over 8 weeks.

So here is my confession. One of my neighbors is a hair dresser. I knew she was having a tough time of it. Seems she still likes to eat and has bills. So, being the total thug bad ass that I am, I gave her a call and asked her if she would cut my hair. She hadn't had a penny of income in 6 weeks. She cut my hair and I gave her a nice tip. I spread the word (after asking if it would be OK), and now she had a very modest group of clients getting hair cuts. One at a time, no crowds, call for an appointment. No one notices or cares.

So that's my confession. Are there any other thugs out there that dare to confess their covid-19 law breaking offenses? Perhaps a clandestine trip to a friend's gym?

Did both of you wear a mask and gloves? If you're going to be a thug...

Good Lord...Friday one of my co-workers asked me if I needed a haircut as we were leaving the office...quizzically I looked at him as he was not a hair dresser..."Maybe" I replied, trying to see if he was a member of the Fifth Column (I watched the series 'V' as a kid...)

"Just asking" he said. After a nod nod and a wink wink I realized he was one of US. He had secretly arranged for one of the local hair dressers to show up in his garage and cut hair...he grilled out, it was a block party.

Now I have not had a hair cut since early March. The barbers on base never shut down but I wasn't about to stand in line and the kids needed haircuts more than I did. So the though of an illegal haircut tickled my fancy....

I did it. "low reg, please" I asked the young lady in the garage chair. The smell of burgers and hot dogs filled the air. Kids were running through the sprinkler. And it was one of the most GLORIOUS haircuts I have ever had.

Yes, I tipped her well.

Next week FED is going to be posting pictures with a bandanna covering half of his face, dark sunglasses, a wife beater, hat on sideways and a hi point in his waist band.......
