I have said this for a while now. A Mumbai style attack on US soil is the most likely. Hamas has shown unprecedented technical skill in the attacks on Israel. They are carrying out complex attacks and using tactics that look like our own military. These tactics are allowing terrorist groups to wreck havoc on responders.

The planning for Hamas took years. I imagine Hamas isn’t the only group planning such attacks.

A government-run cellphone app meant to curtail illegal immigration has resulted in more than a quarter of a million immigrants being released into the United States, according to new federal data.

The CBP One app was introduced in January to provide noncitizens with an orderly way to enter the country through screening appointments to determine admissibility. The Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection agency granted admission to immigrants who were not refugees in 95% of cases, according to data requested by the House Homeland Security Committee's Republican leadership.

Of the 278,431 immigrants who were able to request an appointment with CBP's officers at ports of entry between Jan. 12 and Sept. 30, officers granted admission to 266,846 people. Of that figure, immigrants admitted into the country included 55,690 Venezuelans, 19,780 Russians, 1,866 Uzbeks, 229 Afghans, 32 Chinese, and 16 Iranians.

“Secretary Mayorkas has utterly abused the CBP One app in his quest for open borders,” said Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) in a statement. “These numbers are proof that Mayorkas’ operation is a smokescreen for the mass release of individuals into this country who would otherwise have zero claim to be admitted. At a time when global tensions are rising, and our enemies are growing bolder, releasing tens of thousands of these people into our communities — especially when they have not received adequate, if any, vetting — is irresponsible."

Immigrants who were admitted following appointments were given a notice to appear in immigration court about their ability to remain in the country, proceedings that will not lead to a decision for several years due to the 2 million case backlog before the less than 700 judges nationwide.

The app was rolled out earlier this year as a way for immigrants who had already traveled through Mexico and made it to northern Mexico to interview with U.S. CBP officers about the possibility of being released into the country. The interviews, CBP anticipated, would cause fewer immigrants to walk around the ports of entry and illegally enter, thus lowering Border Patrol arrests.

But the cartels determined that with the use of a virtual private network, they could override the CBP One app's geofencing and request an appointment from anywhere in the world, not just northern Mexico. The Mexican government had sought to bar immigrants from crossing from Guatemala by requiring already scheduled CBP One app appointments, which was not possible because immigrants could only do so from northern Mexico.

Porous US border with Mexico is an immediate national security threat that could explode at a moment's notice, experts testify.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials must assume that hundreds of Iranian-funded and -directed terrorist operatives with Hamas, Hezbollah, and similar groups are in the United States and can carry out lethal attacks across this country as soon as Iran gives them the green light, according to witnesses who testified at an Oct. 25 House Committee on Homeland Security hearing.
The committee's chairman, Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.), asked former Ambassador Nathan Sales, "What guarantees do we have" that Hamas and other Iranian-backed terrorists aren't among the more than 1.7 million illegal immigrant "gotaways" that have crossed the southern U.S. border since 2021.

"I don't think we have any guarantees, Mr. Chairman. I think we have to assume the worst," Mr. Sales replied. "We know that Iranian-linked terrorists have been found in the United States.

He pointed out that, prior to the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack from Gaza on Israel, "128 Hezbollah operatives have been arrested here over the years by the FBI." Hezbollah, like Hamas, is funded, equipped, and directed by Iran's radical Islamic regime.

"Within that population of however many millions or hundreds of thousands of known gotaways, we should not assume that they are all perfectly clean," Mr. Sales said.

Mr. Sales was ambassador-at-large and coordinator for counterterrorism, as well as acting undersecretary of state for civilian security, democracy, and human rights under President Donald Trump. 'Time to be concerned': FBI Director Wray warns of mounting terror threats to U.S.

FBI Director Christopher Wray on Tuesday warned the Senate Homeland Security Committee that the prospect of a terrorist attack within the United States had become increasingly likely.

Myriad terrorist groups have called for violence amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, prompting fears of terrorist activity within the United States, especially in light of the unprecedented surge in illegal border crossings.

"This is not a time for panic, but it is a time for vigilance," Wray declared in response to questioning from Florida GOP Sen. Rick Scott. "What has now increased is the greater possibility of one of these foreign terrorist organizations directing an attack in the United States."

While he did assert that the bureau had not yet seen any evidence of a group directing an attack, Wray noted that the FBI had seen "one terrorist organization after another calling for attacks."

"It is a time to be concerned. We are in a dangerous period," Wray told Scott, who then asked whether the FBI was able to track all threats and prevent attacks on the U.S.

Wray retorted that "I couldn't say that we're able to detect all individuals... the gaps in our intelligence are real and it's something that we have concerns about."

The FBI director's warning to Congress follows revelations that the San Diego field office of U.S. Customs and Border Protection had warned its personnel that Hamas fighters or inspired actors might attempt to enter the U.S. via the southern border.

"San Diego Field Office Intelligence Unit (SDFO-FITU) assesses that individuals inspired by, or reacting to, the current Israel-Hamas conflict may attempt travel to or from the area of hostilities in the Middle East via circuitous transit across the Southwest border," an unclassified document from the office read. "Foreign fighters motivated by ideology or mercenary soldiers of fortune may attempt to obfuscate travel to or from the US to or from countries in the Middle East through Mexico."

Accompanying the admonition were images of popular symbols for Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Lebanon-based Hezbollah. The latter group, in particular, is known to operate extensively in Latin America and former Trump Deputy National Security Advisor Victoria Coates has warned that the group had likely already accessed the U.S. interior.

"[W]e know Hezbollah has been active in Latin America; they've carried out attacks against Jewish targets in Argentina, for example," she said in early October on the "Just the News, No Noise" television show. "So they're here. And the notion that they haven't tried to cross the border in the last two and a half years, is pretty disingenuous."

Yes, those military members got on an aircraft and went somewhere else to fight. That's my whole point. There's no one alive that knows what it's like to have war HERE.

The idea is unfathomable to most, especially people who recently suffered such hardships as a minor lack of toilet paper, or the horrors of having the grocery store closing two hours earlier due to a virus.

I lived in NY not six months following 9/11 and can tell you that even among a people who lived an hour away from the carnage, there was zero awareness and a sickening level of support, at all costs, to islam.
