I have no foot, joint, or back pain, even though I’m “getting up there”. And I use quite a bit of turmeric in my cooking. One thing not mentioned in the article: There isn’t much curcumin, the active ingredient, in turmeric, but black pepper helps prevent your liver from removing it from your blood, greatly increasing its effectiveness. And I use a LOT of black pepper too. “It is the latest health fad - present in everything from soy lattes to vegan cakes. But there may be something in the health craze for turmeric after all. Can't speak to arthritis, but I've been taking a 500mg capsule of Turmeric Curcumin daily for a couple of years now and it really helps with my bursitis. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent. | |||
