The usual race-baiters will undoubtedly have a difficult time answering the questions raised by a visibly shaken police chief as he conducts a press conference to discuss a very serious injury suffered by one of his officers at the hands of a protester commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the death of Michael Brown.

Ah, yes.

Following in the footsteps of their "martyr", by seriously beating a(nother) police officer.

A fitting tribute.

There is no appeasing these people. Like the chief said, the city has given in and done everything they asked, and this is still happening. Prayers for the injured officer and the others who will likely be facing the same groups again tonight. Hopefully the chief sticks to his guns and they continue to prosecute any violence or destruction.

Interesting note, the prosecutor in this case is Wesley Bell who recently unseated incumbent Rep. Cori Bush in the Democratic primary for representative in the first congressional district.

Thanks for the input 556. I didn't know he was her replacement. Looks like a move in the right direction to me. Maybe I should back off my "cracking heads" assertion? I hope so. I wish Mr Bell success in reeling in the Bush "legacy", a very tall task.

Bell's situation represents a case study in shifting trends. When Bell ran for county prosecutor, he was up against, and ultimately defeated, a popular, long-term Republican.

Now, when running against and defeating Cori Bush, a two-term member of the squad, he finds himself as a more conservative answer to a totally looney lefty. Here's hoping that he continues along a more moderate course than his soon-to-be predecessor.

Bob McCulloch was a Democrat.

Bell was elected in 2018 as St. Louis County prosecuting attorney in a shock upset against a seven-term incumbent… Bob McCulloch in the August 2018 Democratic primary.

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

The solution is to wreak violence on the protestors and thugs and make life altering or life ending for them.

The problem will be resolved through attriting the thugs and their enablers.

The only thing they will understand is skull busting violence and never-ending pain.

Protest, fine
Wave signs, fine
Chant, fine
Yell, fine
Be Angry, fine

Damage property, not fine and those responsible face charges
Injure people, not fine and those responsible face charges

Injure a police officer, it is over. Protest ends, everyone involved arrested and charged. Groups responsible for protest are held accountable by charging leaders and organizers.

Goodgoddamm the press are insufferable accusing the police for causing the woman's seizure.

The flashbangs, firehoses and police dogs should be loosed on the press first.

I'm watching the video, but they seem to keep saying once they damage property or attack officers, they will be arrested.

IMO, as soon as the protesters blocked the street, they should have asked them to move back, then told them to move back, and then made them move back.

Shaking the fence never should have happened, let alone the officer ending up in the hospital fighting for his life.

That would be policing designed to keep public order and ensure the safety of law-abiding citizens while protecting public and private property. I can remember when that style of policing was the norm.

What is important to remember here is that this incident occurred in Ferguson, MO which became the epicenter for much of the protesting/rioting which swept the country in 2014 after the death of Michael Brown.

Since then, the Ferguson Police Dept. has essentially been strong-armed by DOJ into implementing many DEI based programs which are generally antithetical to good policing. As you heard the chief say, only about four officers remain who were there in 2014 and the entire demographic component of the police force has been redone to reflect DEI/DOJ ideas of what that force should look like.

One of the very predictable effects of all that meddling is that situations like this occur because of guidelines, policies and regulations which often mandate how much "restraint", i.e. doing nothing, must be allowed before any definitive actions are taken to curb lawlessness.

Actually Bob McCullogh was a Democrat but rational. Once Bell won the Dim primary, he won the election because the Repubs didn't even run a candidate. Bell tried going the way of Gardner, even hiring some of the idiots from her staff and Bell was able to hid beneath Gardner's skirt until crime ran out of control. At that point, quite a lot of the progressive crap went out the window in St. Louis County. Bell initially tried running for US Senate but did not do well, so he decided to run for Bush's spot, so he could use his Federal office campaign money chest.

The only difference between Bush and Bell is Bush is insane and did absolutely nothing for the region. Bell MIGHT do something for the region but I wouldn't hold my breath. The big thing will be who replaces Bell. Sam Page can recommend a replacement but the County Council ( the next one not the current one) is very anti-Page so Page will have to come up with a legitimate recommendation. I have heard a couple names with one being a very good experienced Prosecutor and one from Bell's staff that no one has ever seen in a courtroom.

We were taught as kids, “if it’s not yours then don’t touch it.”

Heeding that simple rule would save a lot of people a lot of trouble, but some people just can’t grasp it.

My Navy SEAL friend said that for protests their should be snipers on the roofs. If you vandalize you catch a few rubber bullets. If you commit violence against another person you catch a slug to the head.
