Regardless of what caused the cattle to die, what in the world do you do with thousands of dead cattle that you can’t send to market? If it was 5 or 10 I assume you would just dig a hole and drop them in but even 50 or 100 would have to be a huge hole. | |||

Extreme heat is dangerous for all manner of domestic animals. They need shade and water. Add disease and other stressors and you can get a bad outcome. Some varieties like Brangus do better in high heat environments. I grew up on a farm/feedlot. I saw a few animals die during hot weather but believe there were other factors as well.
