I can't help but feel sorry for Kuch. He's playing some of the best golf of his career. Still, it's going to be his best showing in a major, so there's that.

Whether Kuchar won or Spieth won, either way a good guy wins.

Those last 5 holes were just amazing. To hit such an awful tee shot, still come away with a 5 and then just burn the course up after that - wow.

Yeah, definitely a couple of class acts. I'm just glad that the Woods era is history and we are seeing some great golf without him.

Great show.

I can't quote days, dares, holes or scores but its not unusual at all for J.S. to pull a costanza , then like a pissed off moose, turn around and get all kinds of awesome on the next four or five holes.

it's almost like he pushes some button in his brain and click!

I feel bad for Kuchar, but I'm a huge Jordan Spieth fan so I am happy.

Look at how many times the mic caught Mike Greller saying "reset" to JS.

FWIW, it was bogey, birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie, par coming in after the horrendous tee shot.

I hoped Kuchar would win, but Spieth is a worthy champion and a good guy. I am pleased he won.

I am told that you have to eat an elephant one bite at a time but I would truly love to see JS pick up the grand slam.

Is it a grand slam no matter the years in which they are won, or do they have to be the same year.

Grand Slam = all 4 in same year

Career Grand Slam = win all 4 over the course of you career, no time frame.

The Tiger Slam was when he won 4 majors in a row, just not in the same year.

Only Bob Jones has won a Grand Slam, and the events were different them. They were the Opens for the U.S. and Britain and the Amateur Championships for the U.S. and Britain.

No one has won a modern Grand Slam.

Do---or do not.

Somewhere down the line of superlatives used to describe this tournament, a huge shout-out has to go to NBC for grabbing the suddenly-available Jim "Bones" Mackay as a course announcer.

The network utilized him just right---often enough to give fans an up-until-now untapped point of view without over-using him. Mackay provided valuable insight throughout the tournament.

And he not only picked the winner (last few seconds of the first link), but predicted history would be made on Saturday (second link):
