I hate that Auburn's advance came at the expense of Kentucky, but now that the Tigers/War Eagles have knocked us out I will be cheering for my SEC brethren. I hope that Auburn can keep riding the crest of the wave that they are on right now. However I'm afraid that not having Okeke will catch up with them against Virginia. The Cavaliers have a stronger shot blocking presence around the rim than Kentucky does and can limit Harper and Brown's drives to the basket. Ironically Kentucky did a fair job of limiting Auburn's 3 point shooting (they only hit 7). Kentucky only hit 5 threes and was awful at the free throw line (12/20) with at least 4 misses on the front end of the bonus while the Tigers were 18/24. That's where the game was decided. While I'm saddened that we haven't got back to the Final Four in four years, I'm okay with Auburn getting to make their first trip if we can't be there. Good luck Auburn! | |||

As has been said... “Tigers” or “Plainsmen” (when referring to basketball). ‘War Eagle’ is the battle cry... and it’s never plural. One wouldn’t say “Roll Tides” or “Go Blues” so neither would one ever say “War Eagles.” 0:01 | |||
