I am flat on my back due to ankle/foot/leg surgery and staying at our sons home. He is at work. His wife and The Mrs are out on the town. The smoke alarm has started beeping. Someone left something in the microwave and it's beeping. Maddening. | ||

I had similar fun coming back home from ankle surgery in 1999. Literally, coming home from the hospital. My tore-up-with-A.D.D. mother was assisting my wife. They locked me in the car to get my pain meds at a pharmacy. My mom gets a bug up her ass to come back out of the store and ask me if I needed anything else. She wouldn't quit banging on the window no matter how loud I yelled. So, open the door I did. Car alarm for 15+ minutes until my lovely wife decided to end her jaw-jacking session with a coworker in the pharmacy due to a commotion outside. Bunch of slack-jawed Walmart shoppers congregated to "look at the dead guy" in the back seat. And mom just stood there frozen in place. FML. They don't think it be like it is, but it do. | |||
