My opinion on a "new run" is that the price per coin, and the numbers required to wash the cost of the die creation, would be unlikely in todays climate.

Silver is what made it possible (the margin to the mint), copper was just doable because the number of silver rounds covered an extra obverse die. And we did that because we knew some folks would only be able to buy a single copper.

I would not entirely opposed to a copper, brass/bronze , or pewter "coin". Something to always have on me in case I were to ever run into one us irl. Silver is nuts and getting nuttyer, as it should, but a nice copper piece would look cool. I have a few US Mint coins over the years and a few pewter restrikes of old medals. Just a thought. Who has the original dies/molds and if they are still in existence, why can't they be used again? Why would they have to be altered at all? Wouldn't we all be happy with the original design?

I have been a member for quite some time but just missed by a few years. I would be all in for a new coin whether silver, copper or a challenge coin. While I don't expect any member to sell one of their coins, I would pair a more than fair price for one. Just reach out to me.

Yeah a new production run would be kinda cool.

As with NapoleonSolo, if anyone has any extra coins, I'd like the chance to get a few of the earlier coins.

Copper might not be doable at the moment, I have looked at several sites and all sold out of copper at the moment.

Platinum is about half the price of gold.

I was lucky enough to snag a bunch of the copper, silver & challenge coins when we did them all those many years ago. I have loved having them in my collection, & I think I have just been inspired to Karma off 2 challenge coins to some deserving members. Stay tuned for the thread . . .

That’s really cool. I got into gold and silver last year and bought a small amount. I have some arfcom silver rounds when they offered them one time. Wish I had bought more at the price!
