So let it be written, so let it be done... |
The writing was on the wall when we moved away from Seattle in 2013. Some are just now figuring it out. 'veritas non verba magistri'

Once the Emerald city, now just mildew. Very sad. I enjoyed my visits there in the 90’s. I’ll probably never visit again. ______________________________________________ Life is short. It’s shorter with the wrong gun…

hello darkness my old friend |
Same thing is happening here in Salt lake city. Democrats run Salt Lake city and the Salt Lake county council. They closed the jail to misdemeanors and treat all drug use as a medical problem. Only violent felonies go to jail and they are released after a couple of hours and they haven't even had a chance to let the drugs fade from their system. I haven't been to jail in over a year since the democrat run jail won't take anyone. We cite everyone and they don't appear and that gets them a warrant. Now Salt lake residents are wondering why we have so many hit and run accidents and the answer is everyone here has a damned warrant because we couldn't book misdemeanors. We can't book misdemeanor warrants but people with warrants don't know that so they flee. Its like all of these democrats are running the same dangerous play book in all of these communities.

GW3971 - I wondered why the subject in one of my cases has three warrants out of WVC, but nothing's ever happened with them. Guess that's a case that'll never get closed, since she likely knows she can just avoid showing up. ____________________________ While you may be able to get away with bottom shelf whiskey, stay the hell away from bottom shelf tequila. - FishOn

Go ahead punk, make my day |
Not surprising. I started traveling to Seattle 3-8 times per year in 2010 and previously visited a couple of times in '07/08. It used to be a great place to travel, I would schedule flights to get an extra afternoon or fly out on a redeye after an extra day. Walk downtown, see the sights, enjoy the food. But year after year, it's gotten worse and worse. Tweakers are everywhere in the city, trash, crap, tents, shit as well. Now I usually flying into PDX instead (about 30-45 min faster to get a rental car than at SEATAC) then drive to the worksite south of Seattle. Its a longer drive but you are out of a city in about 15 min, instead of 45-60 min of driving through a shit hole of Seattle.

Back in the ‘80s and ‘90s we visited Seattle, the Pacific NW, and San Francisco-NorCal. I would be very hard pressed to do so now.... Bill Gullette

Thanks for sharing Dzozer. Everyone needs to spend the ~1 hour watching this vid. And I realize that we're the choir to whom this sermon is being preached. Democrats. I moved to West Seattle in 1976, left in '94 to return to my home state. We go out to visit maybe once a year...check that, my wife does. I try to avoid returning to a city that was once a gem of a place to live and work. Farking liberal fools and their sick demon gawds are destroying the country one city after another. Then the pukes move to here and start over...arrgggghhh.

Woke up today.. Great day! |
Thanks for posting that Dzozer. While long I thought it was an excellent story. While I have never particularly had any sympathy for drug addicts you have a few choices how to deal with it. You can take Seattle's approach, a horrible solution. You can lock everybody up, solves the street problem but basically throws their lives away. Or you can take a more comprehensive approach that gives a significant percentage of the addicts a chance at having a productive life. While it remains to be seen what the long term results of the Rhode Island program is I applaud them for their approach. Cities like Seattle are already spending gobs of money on the problem with ca complete lack of results. Why not spend it on a program that solves the front end problem and gives a good chance for many to solve their long term problems. Seattle used to be a wonderful city. But it is a complete shithole IMO as of my most recent trip last year.

SLC residents are typically very surprised when they are scooped and serve their time on misdemeanors in Utah County. __________________________

To all of you who are serving or have served our country, Thank You |
I seen that yesterday and sent it to some of my relatives up in and near Freeattle. Freeattle has had a problem for many decades my brother lived downtown Freeattle in the 1980s and part of the 90s, there was a big problem then. If it wasn't raining the streets downtown seattle smelled like a urine and vomit early in the morning in the 1980s. After the economy tanked in 2008 is when I seen it getting much worse, that was 11 years ago. Many that live there think it has only gotten worse the last 3 or 4 years. Because they are so used to a fucked up city. Yet MOST people there would not think about voting for a republican in Seattle because they are indoctrinated from a young age by the school system for the democratic party.

crazy heart |
Thanks for posting the video, Dzozer. The idiots running Seattle have ruined it. They're too stupid to understand homelessness is a symptom, not the problem. They keep talking about 'affordable housing' and raising taxes even more on the productive members of society to pay for their insanity. The liberal progressives that have infested the city and surrounding areas keep voting the same idiots into office, so they keep getting the same result.

Exactly. During the olympics i was working with UHP in Park City. Stopped a guy for a DUI. His intox passenger had a $5 warrant for dog off the leash. I did the DUI and Summit county served the warrant on the passenger. I went with Summit county officer and the jail didn't blink an eye at the $5 warrant. Thats how its works in nearly every county in Utah except SLCO.

This is sad and shocking to hear. Utah is one the last bastions of solid conservatism. It has been a few years, or more, since I've gone to SLC, but it was always a nice clean city to me. .

Moved to Olympia in 2001. Loved it there. It was a great place and I thought I would be there forever. Fast forward to 2018. Homeless population and heroin addiction is rampant and there is no desire to control either. Aggressive panhandling is acceptable. And this filth is now spreading. We're seeing the effects in Park City. We have trash begging for money at Kimball junction, more car break ins, more home break ins, the bank was recently robbed, the drug scene is getting worse...all thanks to failed democrat policies. ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan
