Pfizer booster yesterday- sore arm, slight drowsiness, but side effects were MINIMAL compared to the first two.

Merc50I got my J&J in early March. No side effects, arm wasn't as sore as with the annual flu shot.
Got the J&J booster about 3 weeks ago, no side effects with that one either.

rushfan65I got the 2 Pfizer shots in March with no side effects. I am scheduled for the booster next week, hopefully with the same results.

IronbuttMy wife & I had the Moderna in February/March. We had no side effects with the first shot, but both had mild flu-like symptoms for about a day after getting the second. They lasted about a day.
No plans on getting the booster. Maybe next year.

Outfitter33My wife and I both had Pfizer shots in March, very little side effects on the first shot. Shot #2 gave us both some fatigue, but nothing horrible.
I take immune suppressants and my doctor is concerned that it may have lessened my immune response.
So, I may be a guinea pig, my booster was a full dose of Moderna taken a couple of weeks ago. Had a fever and sore arm for 12 hours, losing a night of sleep. Felt fine within 48 hours.
Local hospitals here have been jammed with patients, some over 100% capacity, most unvaccinated (over 90%). That is my reason to get a booster, hopefully it will keep me out of the hospital when I get it.

sigfreundMy wife’s doctor told us that people our age were now eligible for the fourth (second booster) dose, so based on our previous experiences and further reports about their long term effectiveness, we got the fourth one (Moderna) last Thursday. We got it at the local public health agency at no cost to us.
My wife had no effects whatsoever and mine were limited to a slightly sore arm for perhaps 36 hours.
The doctor opined that by next fall the vaccine may be combined with the seasonal flu shot. The disease is of course not going away, and there’s growing evidence that being infected with one variety of the disease once doesn’t confer lasting immunity to others or perhaps even the same one, so that wouldn’t be surprising (to me, anyway).
I am still interested in others’ experiences with the COVID-19 vaccine, so please chime in, especially if you opt for number four.

bigdealDon't want to highjack this thread but did want to briefly offer two comments.

Not sure how that would work given the flu vaccine is a traditional vaccine while the Covid vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) are MRNA drugs which would necessitate a large amount of clinical testing (or should) before any combined vaccine was made available to the general public.

There is just as much data and research available (if not more) that proves the contrary is true. And any engineered vaccine will only address known variants (maybe) as they cannot design for variants that have not as yet developed. We've seen that for years with the basic flu vaccine.

But to reiterate and (hopefully) keep this on track:

*I am impressed, though, by how fast that opportunity was taken advantage of. I doubt that a duck could pounce on a June bug any quicker.

WarhorseI went and got my fourth Moderna, other than a sore shoulder at the site of injection for a few days, no further problems.

SRI got the second booster last week. Original shots and 1st booster were Pfizer. Doctor's office only using Moderna for second booster. I was a little tired after the others. This one, sore arm.

Gene HillmanWife and I got 4th booster last week. One of us got Phizer and one Moderna. Slightly sore arms for a day or two like with most any shot.

radiomanSo, it was the 2nd shot that really wiped me out. All I wanted to do was sleep and arm was sore.
Booster had no issues other than a sore arm briefly.

Yes, as I mentioned in the beginning, the second shot affected me the most. Interesting.

6gunsI mentioned this to sigfreund off the forum when he first posted this question, but I'll say it here...and it's updated.
One of my sisters got breast cancer ~ six months after her second shot. After an MRI it was discovered to be larger than originally thought. She opted for a double mastectomy even though the docs recommended a lumpectomy. It ended up being a good choice because they found more of it and some in the other breast. That was the end of last summer.
Fast forward to last winter. My other sister discovers after her regular mammogram she too has breast cancer. What they found was a smaller tumor and she opted for the lumpectomy which just happened to be a few weeks ago. She's still waiting for results of margin test and hopes she's done with it.
Granted, they are both getting up there in age, but there is no other history of breast cancer in our family. I really don't know what to think, but I had heard of other cases of this via a radio program of breast cancer patients.
My first sister decided not to get boosters. She's a much more conservative thinker.
The other one did.
