I had a chronic appendicitis for 3+ months after I graduated college. Would flare up about every 2 weeks. It took the doc about 5+ hours to get all of the pieces located and out of me.

I wish your wife the best.

I’ve been there. On the first day of 7th grade I came home puking and faint. Folks tried to get me to eat something. No way. A few hours later I passed out on the floor and they decided it might just be serious. At midnight I had my ruptured appendix removed and spent 7 days in the hospital with tubes in and tubes out. I drained poison out the incision for about 5 days. Nasty shit. I missed about 3 weeks of school.

Fast forward 50 years and my wife had hers out on Friday and was back at her desk on Monday. Naturally it didn’t rupture.

Glad they caught it in time. My appendix ruptured several years ago and I spent 3 weeks in the hospital. It was nip & tuck for a few days as I flirted with septic shock. Now its just a story but it was not a fun experience.

Hoping for a speedy recovery. Were they able to do laparoscopic surgery, or the big incision?

It was abcessed, so had to open her up a bit to clean it all out.

Well wishes for your wife.

I had a burst appendix when I was 16. I spent three weeks in the hospital. Of course, that was 1963 and medicine, especially antibiotics, have come a long way since then. Your wife will recover just fine.

Prayer said for your bride. Keep her comfortable and peace to you.

Mine ruptured, gangrene set in. Waited too long the doc said. I’ve never experienced pain like that, even topped my open heart op.

Prayers sent. What part of MN? They’ll take good care of her, I’m sure.
