Happened to my whirlpool a decade ago. I googled how to fix it and found a video. It really wasn’t that difficult.

There is a kit to buy which costs about $90.

A couple of hours of your time will fix it up.

A repairman will say "time to buy a new one"........

As robust as they are, Speed Queens are still machines, and eventually need maintenance/repair.

They're just easier to work on that most other washers due to being more analog than digital, plus you don't have to wait for parts to be shipped on a slow boat from Asia.
