Sen. Elizabeth Warren says her life has become a round-the-clock nightmare due to the prospect of Democrats botching the midterm elections.

A conversation with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow revealed the perpetual “terror” the Massachusetts lawmaker experiences as voters prepare to go to the polls in November. Mrs. Warren admitted her fears Thursday evening when confronted with a scenario in which Democrats fail to capture control of either chamber of Congress.

I'm almost certainly trying to ponder imponderables, but I'm still trying to figure out if she can be an at least vaguely reliable barometer of the Democrat's expectations for November.

Then why does she participate in driving the party to the extreme left? She could try to bring the Democrats towards sanity, but she panders to the fringes and actually makes it more likely that the Democrats turn off more and more people. That's how they got Trump in the first place.

How can a party that runs on 'hate Trump' and 'impeach Trump' as their only platform win anything? It just boggles the mind.

Her entire career is based on lies and dishonesty, which, for the most part, have yielded success. The same holds true for Hillary and Obama. I might guess she feels corruption will win in the end.

^^^ Hah! If anyone's bored enough, check out the history of the Rockingham faction in the Brit House of Commons back during the American Revolution. It's amazing that someone who does politics for a living could let themselves be shunted into a dead-end political position and stay there for years, but it is by no means unknown.

She ran to the left of Hillary to begin with. Since Hillary occupied the 'voice of reason' space in the Democratic Party (it's all relative, you know) and Bernie did so well, running to the left actually makes sense - for her.
