All I got off that Newsweak link was a giant blaring video that I couldn't shut off.

But I doubt if kissing your chicken is much worse than your dog licking his asshole or "mining" the cat's litter box for tootsie rolls and then licking your face.

The first "job" I can remember on the farm at about age 5 was holding the chickens on the stump while my Mom chopped their heads off with an axe. They are for making eggs and eating at Sunday dinner. I can't imagine cuddling with one of them.
