I ended up giving the Chemical Guys tire gel a shot. Found it locally and have use their other products with success. Tires look clean and not too goopy. Hopefully it will last awhile. I gave it a go on the wife’s mobile today. I am going to need to find a better applicator for the AT tires about to go on the Expedition. I used a tire sponge but I don’t think it will do well on the aggressive sidewalls. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. poorboys 'natural look' dressing (for interior parts) makes tires look dark, matte black. It doesn't last through rain well, but it looks great while it lasts & doesn't attract crap. I water it down maybe 50/50 and spray it on, hose the excess off the wheels. easy & looks great.

That looks great! My detailer gave me a bottle of Car Guys Premium Tire Shine to try. Just put my summer wheels/tires on. Will give it a go. Not minority enough!

The running gripe with most tire shines goes like this... 1 - They're gooey, whereby attracting all sorts of debris, and or slinging off onto everything once the tires get up to speed and temp. 2 - They have little to no longevity. One good rain and most tire shines are all but gone. I've tried upwards of 20 - 25 tire shines over time (pretty much everything referenced in this thread and many more), and none of them are even close to perfect. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. So while I was very happy with the Chemical Guys for my wife’s tires since the sidewalls are very smooth and the tire applicator applied it nice and evenly the same cannot he said for the All Terrain tires with serious sidewall lugs. The applicator sponge was destroyed after the first tire and with all the nooks and crannies it is not an even application. Looked pretty bad. So I am now going to reread the thread and see what all comes in a spray. Something I can just spray on and forget would be best. Came across Chemical Guys Dark Shine Undercarriage protector that says good for tires too. May give it a go. Chemical Guys TVD_104_16 Bare Bones Premium Dark Shine Spray for Undercarriage, Tires and Trim (16 oz) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001..._api_i_PY4ZCbFC4KXQR I use simple green and a pretty stout scrub brush to clean the tires and that does well getting the mud off. But does not give much shine. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. Also still my favorite. I’ve migrated away from Zaino products over time with the exception of their tire dressing. It’s not glossy and seems to last plenty long enough. Still use it today.
