I got a Philips Sonicare last year and couldn't believe how much better it worked than manual brushing. Question I have is, if you also use Sonicare, what do you recommend for replacement heads? My main concern is plaque control.

Should I consider any of the aftermarket brands? If not, then where have you found the best deal on OEM replacement heads?

About six months ago I began using an Oral B “Pulsar”. It has a built-in nonreplacable battery. Good for a couple of months. Then I toss it and begin using another.

New heads, new battery, new everything. Not expensive, and works very well.

My wife has been ordering an off-brand from Amazon for years. They fit a little looser on the device, but seem to brush just as well.

Costco has the Philips toothbrush heads on sale occasionally. They sell them in packs of eight. It’s a pretty good deal.

I just buy the big pack of replacement heads from Costco. I figure I only have one set of teeth. So far.

The unit I bought (at Costco) had the A-3 brushes. Finding that they might be a bit too firm. Getting ready to order some C-3 brushes to see if they work better.

Haven't had any problems with the off-brand brush replacements from Amazon.

Prefer the brand name replacement heads from Costco. Maybe Sam's Club or Walmart has them too? As Pedropcola said, we only have one set of teeth and I'm going to spend the few extra dollars for a packet of OEM replacements.

I do not like the aftermarket brush heads. They are too soft. I get the Philips ones on Amazon.

Ours are OralB, but the aftermarket brush heads, while a good savings, don't ever seem as good, nor do they last as long.

I've found - like others here, that the Costco replacements are the best deal. I've been on the Sonicare for years. My dental cleanings are quick and I'm fortunate to only have a few cavities in my late 50's.

I get my teeth cleaned twice a year and that's when I swap my brush head. My electric and manual brushing is 50/50.

Cheers~

Semi-ditto. The off-brand heads fail outright or wear out quickly, not really saving any money in the long run. They never seem to clean as well, either.

Just got the monthly flyer from Costco. Sonicare brushes are on sale from 1/26/26 to 2/22/26. 8 brushes for $49.99.

I use an Oral B brush and buy the pack of replacement brushes from Sams. I replace the brush every other month. The bristles change color when time to replace.

DO NOT buy knockoff heads for these kinds of brushes. I tried some knockoffs from Amazon for an Oral-B and they ended up cutting up my mouth.

Always go with the OEM

I'm currently using the C3 Premium Plaque Defense heads.

I, too, recommend COSTCO for the Philips multi pack.

I once thought that the device was failing.
Just needed a cleaning. The slightest amount of gunk between head and handle drastically diminished the performance.
