Personal transmission choice would be a ZF 5 speed but an Allison automatic would do as well.

Most likely been done and kits with necessary adapters are no doubt out there.

I would like to have a 1983 Ford F-150 XLS Flareside 4X4 with a manual transmission and a built 300 ci inline six. I had that truck in 1983 except mine had a stock 300.

They have been able to punch the 300 ci inline six up to 500+ horsepower. A custom head and intake are good for over 800.

Amazing what solid architecture and inherent harmonics can do.

I have a 96 3/4 ton HD 4WD Ram with the 360.
What would be nice would be the 96 version of the Cumminst turbo diesel and an Allison transmission.

A late 90's CART 2.65L Turbo V8 or an F1 3.0L V10 with their transmissions in a mid engine car I can fit into.

A 2JZ swapped FD RX-7 is my idea of the perfect drivetrain married with the perfect chassis.

A 1992 RX-7 twin turbo is hands down the best vehicle I have ever driven. Toss in a 2JZ with a big turbo and it’s perfect.

67-72 Chevy or GMC Suburban 4x4. Rear doors in place of the tailgate. LS3 430 hp but with a twist, non fuel injected. Holley or preferably with a Quadrajet carburetor and the timing cover kit to use a small block Ford distributor in place of the electronic controls.

4L65E transmission, the electronic controller will be fine for that. Transfer case would be a New Process 205 with Dana axles front and rear.

Or, a 73 through 86 square body K5 Blazer, same drive train.

Oh, and a state that doesn’t use salt in the winters…….

I had always thought that I'd pull the 5.4 supercharged engine from my F150 and install it in a cobra aftermarket chassis.....

Didn't happen, ended up getting rid of the F150, but I can dream....
