You probably already know this, but just in case...

If you ever have a need/desire to travel to Arab countries in the area, you will have to either request that the Israelis NOT stamp your passport, or arrange to get a new passport before you travel. Arab countries almost always refuse entry to someone with an Israeli stamp in their passport!

Sad, but that's the way it is.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

How long do you get to be there? Stay safe.

I think that'd be an extra perk to going. "Sorry boss, I can't go to South Sudan Shithole. They won't let me in"

"The designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. 'Make it evil,' he'd been told. 'Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with." -Douglas Adams

They didn't even offer to stamp mine. They just gave us little slips of paper with the information to tuck inside.

I don't know if I'll get over to Jerusalem.
I'm gonna try. Maybe on the Saturday before I fly home.

Israel doesn't stamp passports. You get a printed entry visa you'll carry in your passport while you're there.

I go 4 times a year to work in Be'er Sheva. Going to take the wife in 2019 to actually play tourist and see the country. She's warned me that if I go to Jerusalem without her, I'm doomed Smile
