I probably would have walked over to the little punk and informed him in a voice only he and I could hear that if he didn't stand and show respect for the rest of the year in my class, he would be the crash test dummy for the rest of the year and I would make the class a living hell for him.

If anyone asked about it, I'd deny the statement, tell them he has an attitude and is prone to telling fantastical stories.

This is one of the many reasons I keep telling my wife I can't be a teacher.
