Agreed. I saw a video on the news of a whole bunch of protestors assaulting a whole group of officers en masse, and the officers were fighting back without any real force, it made me feel a little embarassed, thinking they were ordered not to use force. I agree that a few hickory shampoos and a few bullet holes are in order when shit like this goes down. As a previous poster said, no consequences equals no change in behavior or attitude. At this point it's like a bunch of evil little kids. When officers are physically attacked, it would be nice to see immediate and overwhelming force resulting in immediate arrest. If they can't be subdued and officers are still in immediate harms way, shoot them. Easier said than done I know, but it seems we've gotten to that point. And if you stand in front of a police car that is trying to get away to save their own skin, sorry about turning you into a pancake. I'm pretty sick of watching this mess.

The tactics the feds seem to be using is minimal force. ID them, and snatch them up one at a time. They get to do the time, with no complaints or excuses of excessive force.

If the Feds want to make a real statement there announcement should include;
"WANTED DEAD or ALIVE"

I recall growing up in the 50's that when asking an adult about the FBI I would always hear that there motto was;
"SHOOT FIRST,ASK QUESTIONS LATER"
I had a deep respect for the FBI for about 7 decades.

That was my thought, to attack back, use force, or anything of such will create a massive blow back against ICE/LEO.

Get the pictures, ID them and then jail them.

Yeah we'd all like a little Buford Pusser action but those days are gone, and it would play right into the hands of the left who are tryin to brand ICE as thugs.

I would say anyone shooting commercial fireworks at law enforcement officers should be charged with attempted murder and unlawful use of explosive devices. They should be able to charge a whole bunch of these idiots with that.

These are the first instances I have heard of with actual shots fired by the instigators. They are clearly escalating, but I think they are too used to local prosecutors doing nothing. Feds are going to throw the book at them.

Democrats including Gavin Newsom suggest migrant cannabis farm workers caught up in violent ICE raids were 'kids picking strawberries'

The California leader has been skewered for a misleading post about ICE raids

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/ne...-trump-nickname.html

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is under fire for posting a shocking response to ICE raids, likening the workers at the targeted cannabis farms to 'kids' whose mothers have been taken from them.

At multiple locations across southern California's Ventura County, just north of Los Angeles, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) carried out raids on cannabis farms leading to a violent response from locals and farmworkers.

Videos of the operations at Glass House Farms show armored federal agents standing on farm roads and flanked by rows of what appear to be cannabis, or marijuana plants, while masked agitators hurled slurs and debris at law enforcement.

The number of truly malevolent violent offenders is usually pretty small. At least in general, there seem to be a lot of professional agitators moving around the country.

The point being that there may not be so many of these people like the guy shooting at ICE the other day. Jailing them may be very effective at bringing down the temperature. And making an example of them will deter some future miscreants.

I’ve been on the receiving end of larger fireworks. It ain’t fun.
I would put that in the “death or great bodily harm” category. But my department doesn’t think so, or at least the bosses who write policy and are behind a desk, and not getting fireworks tossed at THEM.

And the “escalating” part…

Most of the violent individual are of two types....the overly demonstrative college degree type who's broad vocabulary and intellectual outrage has brought them to the front-line to give the cops a piece-of-their-mind and hoping to earn some street-cred. Variety of hair coloring, sometimes a witty sign, protest is as much a performative act as it is a civic one for them. The more serious ones join groups like Antifa or, their local john brown chapter hoping to drain their trust accounts to fund their outrage.

And the more common individual is the petty opportunist...past generations called them juvenile delinquents. Generally a high school drop-out, emotionally immature and out of control, obnoxious always looking to offend or create drama, a life of petty crime burgeoning into more serious crimes. The guy in black who was shooting at the officers and now has a bounty seems to be of this group. Forever a looser.

Absolutely.

Anyone who does not believe they are equal to that category, need only google "fireworks injuries".

Trust me, Im with you on this!
Again, being on the receiving end of them multiple times!

However, the flip side of that coin is:
“Officer, you shot my client because he was throwing firecrackers at you?”

I’ve pointed out this problem and had this argument with MULTIPLE high ranking Bosses on my Department.
“Please don’t shoot them” was about the best answer I got.

Law Enforcement as a whole has been faced with large, angry and violent crowds increasingly since the “Mostly Peaceful” riots of 2020.
And we’ve been wearing kid gloves in dealing with it.

Here, in Chicago, WHEN (not if) it happens, Chicago Cops are going to get tossed under the bus in droves! We’re going to be nothing more than pawns in this game.

And when that happens, it should be “Blue Flu Day” all week long. Let them call in the National Guard, or have Trump federalize the NG and also call up the 101st Airborne from Fort Campbell, KY.

We are now in a war in which only one side can win; chaos and leftist anarchy or Law & Order. I know which side I want.

President Trump grants 'total authorization' to ICE agents to protect themselves after violent California clashes

President Donald Trump on Friday said he has given federal immigration agents "Total Authorization" to protect themselves after clashes with protesters during an enforcement operation at a California cannabis farm.

Trump was traveling to Washington from Texas, where he toured the region where devastating floods have left at least 120 people dead, and he penned a lengthy post on Truth Social about the violence against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

"I am on my way back from Texas, and watched in disbelief as THUGS were violently throwing rocks and bricks at ICE Officers while they were moving down a roadway in their car and/or official vehicle," he wrote on Truth Social.

"Tremendous damage was done to these brand new vehicles. I know for a fact that these Officers are having a hard time with allowing this to happen in that it shows such total disrespect for LAW AND ORDER."

Federal authorities conducted raids on Glass House Farms families in Camarillo and Carpinteria. Authorities used tear gas, and there were reports of objects being thrown at agents.

In response, Trump said he directed Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and Border Czar Tom Homan to instruct ICE, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other law enforcement on the receiving end of "thrown rocks, bricks, or any other form of assault, to stop their car, and arrest these SLIMEBALLS, using whatever means is necessary to do so."

"I am giving Total Authorization for ICE to protect itself, just like they protect the Public," he wrote. "I never want to see a car carrying a Law Enforcement Officer attacked again! AUTHORIZATION IMMEDIATELY GRANTED FOR ARREST AND INCARCERATION. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

The United Farm Workers said one worker died from his injuries.

"This man was not in and has not been in CBP or ICE custody," DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital. "Although he was not being pursued by law enforcement, this individual climbed up to the roof of a greenhouse and fell 30 feet. CBP immediately called a medivac to the scene to get him care as quickly as possible."

Yeah, the days of ICE being restrained and tactful are over. Someone said that to do otherwise would create blow back against them. Well, guess what...the blow back has been going on for some time now and they have now declared all out war on the US.

Ice and Border Patrol are there to do a job. Trump must send in other forces to protect them. I'm thinking US Marshalls, ATF, FBI or Elite forces of the Marines. They would be much more effective than the National Guard.
