I usually click right past the "pop-up" ads on YouTube. Curiosity got the best of me and I actually let the Biden commercial play.

It's theoretically produced by professionals, right?

It could theoretically be re-shot until he got everything perfectly, right?

It could be edited to make him appear to be at least somewhat lucid, right?

Apparently not. He stumbles his way-- "I'm, uh, Joe Biden, and I, uh, want you..."-- all the way through the spot.

It's an advertisement for how much dementia sucks. And I'm with you 100% that the people close to him, actual family most of all, are to blame for this. They have absolutely no shame.

A commentator pointed out- Those are the best shots they got to work with since they could retake them until they got it right. I can't imagine what ended up on the cutting room floor.

Living in his basement with all the time and money he could ask for and that's the best he \ they can do.

Poor creepy joe has been breathing his own breath for to long. When I see his mask hanging from one ear I wonder if he remembers where he left it.

Watch his wife. 'She' is the true enabler. A perfect example of a wife who doesn't give a shit about her husband, beyond what she can get out of the relationship. The way she handles ole Slow Joe reminds me exactly of the way Gaby Giffords husband manipulates and uses her to promote himself.

If old Joe stumbles that bad when they can do retakes, imagine how pathetic he'd look on a debate stage.

My cynical take is that the Democrat American Socialist party will argue for virtual Zoom conference-like debate format where Joe's answers can be fed to him via a teleprompter off-camera.

I honestly get the cynicism but the problem with that theory, is President Trump would have someone from his campaign sitting in ol' Shotgun Joe's camp to make sure that didn't happen and visa versa.

Jebus. I'm convinced they do not want to win. The Democrat's game seems to be "his name isn't Donald Trump," that is a bold strategy for them to run against someone they claim as the worst president ever, and a fascist dictator.

The leftist machine isn't running Sleepy Joe...they're running whoever the choice for vice will be. And ole Joe won't be making that choice. The DNC will be.

You can only conclude that Joe's family cares more about the money they could make than they do about Joe. Sad, truly sad!

That'll never fly with the average, sensible American voter. Especially with President Trump out there doing rallies.

I don't. They don't even know who their Veep candidate is gonna be, and the prospects that keep getting pushed are major losers and 'never-was'ers. Honestly, if they can't trust Joe to be Prez, why would they trust him to pick his own in-Administration successor?

Put it this way - if they were going to follow the strategy you guys suggest, then why haven't they whipped out their vice-presidential savior now when Joe figures the primaries are over and Joe's supporters could use the kind of confidence and excitement that Cheney wound up bringing to the Bush 43 campaign? With Trump being under the media's guns on various issues, now is absolutely the time for the Dems to build momentum for a strong run in November.

Honestly, unless someone has concrete proof (and no, the mere fact that Joe is an idiot is not concrete proof), then this whole "elect the Veep" thing is a basement-dweller's fantasy.

More than 100 liberal activists, leaders and celebrities signed a letter urging Joe Biden to select Sen. Elizabeth Warren as his running mate, intensifying pressure on the presumptive Democratic nominee from the left as he faces competing demands to pick a black woman.

The letter portrays Warren (D-Mass.) as the best prepared prospect to serve as president and one uniquely capable of helping Biden politically in the November election. It asserts that he is “already strong” among nonwhite voters but could use help winning over disaffected voters who acked Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in the primary — even as some of them have soured on Warren.

wouldn't that utterly and completely destroy Biden? If he were to pick Warren as VP ?

Maybe not, although it would sure piss off an awful lot of other Dems. That's kind of a fringe benefit for us of Biden's picking a Veep candidate the way he has - everyone gets some input, but when Biden does what he wants to anyway then a whole bunch of people stop being as excited about his candidacy as they were. At that point the Trump campaign transposes Warren and Biden's faces onto Grant Wood's "American Gothic" painting and everyone starts nodding and saying "yeah, that is a couple of bossy old white people from the Northeast who haven't necessarily impressed in their careers so far."

The big question is whether Warren can actually bring in (or, I suppose, reassure) enough Dems to help Biden win. Her own support during the primaries was pretty dang variable, and while she tried to push aggressively right up until the end, her campaign really kinda ended with a whimper.

There’s no way in hell that Biden picks an old white female as his VP, it’s just not going to happen.

He’s going to pick a younger black female, it’s all but a done deal already.
