Awesome Christmas gift - mechanical wooden gun! Login/Join

My daughter was overseas this past semester and found this at a Christmas market. She was able to touch and pick up the finished piece and thought I'd enjoy it.

Well, I finally put it together and I'm amazed by the level of detail, the functionality and pure genius. I have a semi-automatic rubber band gun made of wood! It even includes little target. Not terribly accurate, but a very cool gift.

That’s quite cool. Probably more of a conversation starter than anything else but very cool to hang on the pegboard in the shop. The level of detail is what makes it.

I got a ugears kit as well. Looks like a really early grand prix racer. Impressed with the kit & will likely get a couple more in the future.

Posted a couple photos in the gallery.

It probably has one of those high capacity magazine clips.

I note the OP lives in Sacramento. If I were him, I'd check to make sure that's on his "approved" list.

I have seen other repeating rubber band guns, but that is definitely the coolest.

When I was a kid I would play for hours with a (single shot) gun that my father made. Knocking over the toy soldiers and other figurines that constituted an attacking army was great fun. If there were two of us, we would alternate taking shots at each other’s forces. I’m sure all that point shooting practice is why I’m such a fantastic shot today. Wink

There's another company on Amazon, if you search for ugears, that has a pump action rubber band gun, looks a bit styled after the Shockwave.
Concept/parts look similar, not sure on the quality compared to ugears.
