I was laughing my ass off at that. He must have experience at blasting ceilings. Didn't skip a freaking beat.
Yea... he did seem like he has done that particular move before. Wonder if he is banned from a few indoor ranges in his area.

PalmEven prior to the negligent discharge (actually I would term it reckless in this case) he was waving around a loaded gun in violation of established safety rules. Hope they never let him teach the class again, and I'm glad there was someone videotaping so there can be no doubt about what happened.

Idiot has it under his chin at one point. WTF.

HayesGreenerI really hope this was a significant emotional event for him and caused him to reflect on his own stupidity. Maybe he learned something from the experience. But it is frightening how many inexperienced idiots there are calling themselves instructors. I frequently find myself correcting bad instruction.

Probably banned from most of the ranges located in a basement.

sig sailorOh sure, in every class there is one guy who says did you mean to do that, as soon as the instructor makes one LITTLE mistake.

BytesQuite a few years back I took my son (10 years old at the time) for some target practice and gun safety lessons. The guy next to us at the range cracked one off through the awning above us. I told Stef: stow your gear, we're leaving. He didn't realize what had just happened to us until I explained it to him on the way home. That's one of the reasons I like "alone" areas to do my shooting. It's easy to find those places in Utah/Idaho.

Not just "off", "clean off". It was a .44 magnum after all.

I doubt it would be "clean".

"Yeah."
Sure, pal.
Freakin' tool is right.
Are we required to sweep everyone on the range?
Can I get a refund?

How dare you question Clint/Harry?

Floyd D. BarberYeah, Harry was flapping his jaws a little to much about the .44 Magnum being the most powerful handgun and blowing your head clean off. In Magnum Force, he told the young cops he carried a "light special" round to cut down on the recoil.
