We’ll take any of you VA guys over here in WV.
Unfortunately, I’m afraid the Eastern panhandle/DC escape area is already pretty blue.
Luckily, they’re pretty far away from the real power in the state.

Please don't take this too personally:

While I understand your position on getting out, I'd like to think that more people would stay in VA and vote the jerks out. Running just makes them believe even harder that they can take over. Let's not let the brats, whiners, and jerk politicians have their way.

Please let this be true, and may we be strong and resolute in our effort to not be overtaken.

The free stuff/ Libtard crowd is out-breeding the conservative middle class, which is getting smaller already.

I’m looking for a state that has little change of going blue in the next 30 years.
Maybe here in WV, but dipshits like Manchin don’t give me hope.

Where’s my escape plan, TX? Maybe, but I think they flip before WV.
Low population states ND or SD?
Maybe Utah?

Seriously, I’m thinking long term for my grandkids.

It will be time for the SCOTUS to take up important Second Amendment issues when the libs are mourning Ruthie's death. 6-3 the court will be, and the constitution will once again be respected.

Kentucky. Each time the state legislature takes up the token gun control bill, state gun owners get more freedom as a bitch slap for being pestered by the gun grabbers.

The only reason we don’t have Constitutional Carry is because of CCDW unstructured lobbying against it.

Can Virginia borrow some Kentucky residents please? Perhaps they can bring torches and light some fires under some Virginia butts?

God bless America.

Agree. There have been 3? Rulings from the Supreme Court involving the second?

This fight hasn’t even begun yet and you guys are calling it and going home. Losers.

I think you mean 5-4. Somebody’s got something on Roberts, who will be the new Souter.

They pass these laws as they did in NJ and MA. They claim a victory and remain silent on the fact that the vast majority ignore them.

NJ refuses to comment on the number of now illegial 15 round or less magazines are retained by the owners. When pressed they claim they must have been modified , sold out of state, destroyed or given to someone who could legally possess them.

Yet they know they are still stored with their owner. As the bump syocks in MA and unregistered rifles in CT.

“Got something?” Please explain the end game of your theory. He’s appointed for life. You’re worse than the waterheads that want to impeach Trump. (Props to OAM).

Yeah, but who wants to be turned into a criminal? I understand not turning them in. I would do the same... but these people have to be fought not simply ignored. Sure, you may still have your now illegal 15 round magazines but these people will keep pushing until all gun owners are criminals in one way or another.
They have to be voted out of office.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Lived just outside Charlottesville for 9 yrs during the previous decade. Sad that the NOVA / Richmond left wing BS contingent is threatening to ruin the entire state.

I moved back up here 15 years ago to go to law school and to be near family. Both my father and father in law retired in NoVA out of the pentagon.

In that time all I’ve seen in this state is a completely dysfunctional and ineffective Republican Party that allowed democrats to come in and take over

And it still isn’t any better. And continuously losing at the state and national level, the Virginia Republican Party still can’t get out of its own way

There is a tipping point, and personally I think we are past it. This fall, I expect the democrats to control the GA and Governorship, and Virginia to look like New York when the new Code takes effect in July 2020. I hope I’m wrong. As I said, I can’t leave until 2021 at the earliest.

As far as staying and fighting. I get it. But I’m tired. And I’m getting old. And honestly I don’t want to fight against people whose value system is so alien to mine. I’d rather just move somewhere with likeminded people. And I’ve heard it all about they will come there next, etc etc. maybe so. Might be I’m a dying breed and the world in 60 years won’t be one I recognize. But I won’t be around to see that. That fight is up to my kids now. As a father I owe it to them to teach them, but also to put them in a place where what I teach them is right actually is.

Plus. I’m tired of always hurting. Every time the temperature is 30 in the morning and then 60 after noon the 3/4 limbs the Army and VA have installed significant metal in hurt. Or when it’s 50 then 90. I’m tired of walking like I’m 80 when I first get going when I’m not yet 50

If you're in District 33:
Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 8, a special election for Virginia Senate District 33 is being held (Jennifer Wexton's old district). The candidates are:

Jennifer B. Boysco (D)
Joe T. May (R) and

Ms. Boysco is currently a Delegate and has a horrible voting record on guns.

Mr. May served in the Virginia House of Delegates a few years ago. His record was mixed - voting with gun owners sometimes, but not others. Not a hero when it comes to gun rights, but not a true gun-controller, like Boysco.

The Republicans currently hold a ONE-vote majority in the Senate. If this seat flips, it would increase to a two-vote majority.

Thanks for the heads up. Moved here in November, got my DL and my CHP in December and just signed up with vcdl.org.

I plan on being here for the long haul, so I best get to work. This is my first time living in a blue state, even though it's strange because the county I live in voted for Trump with 75.1% of the vote!

“The day is coming that this will turn into a shooting war. There is no other option.”

It seems inevitable that this will be the only way to prevent America turning into a socialist/communist state.
