Well, yesterday I ordered enough to do the rest of the house. The whole house. So I guess in a couple weeks, I’ll be taking a few days off work and installing flooring in the entire house. I’m pretty excited as our current flooring is a medium/dark brown. It makes the house dark and dreary. The “lol” thread

My truck, I ordered with the "cashmere / tan" fabric interior. Stupid for tradesman? No, it is light and refreshing. When I build a car on the Mercedes / Porsche / Volvo websites, I usually go for the light tan interior with a darker exterior.

Agreed, I had a BMW with the camel interior. Was beautiful. This is not that kind of brown. It’s a sad, ugly brown. Since the only pics of the floor have the dog, you get to see him too. See photo below. The “lol” thread

I didn't know this tool existed. I've got one on the way. Still have to remodel a couple bathrooms. The prybar I've been using has been less than optimal for pulling boards. ...that I will support and defend...

So now the whole house is done. I took the week off work and redid the rest of the entire house. I wasn’t sure if it was worth it when my back was killing me, but in the end, yeah, it looks fantastic! Before, it was brown and gloomy. During: After: The “lol” thread

Looking at the photos, youdid an excellent job. In 2015 we had Lowes install laminate flooring in our home, 1400 sf. 3 guys,2 days, they did an excellent job. $8,000 . They moved furniture, cleaned up, were very polite and professional. I couldn`t havedonewhatyou did. 美しい犬

Nice! I'm just about to begin cleaning the cracks between shrunken cupped c.1926 softwood flooring, prior to packing them with expensive filler. Then exhaustive sanding. Then smelly oil-stain finishing. I should have done this 20 years ago! I've got a nice 7' x 11' carpet in the closet; it would tie that living room together nicely. But do see the allure of none, for sweeping purposes. Where's the cat?

Wow, you’ve been busy. Great job, I would’ve never attempted that project on my own.

A good portion of my life my pops was a contractor and a finish carpenter. Which meant that I was having to learn the same things. Hated it at the time, very fortunate to have learned those skills though. Had I not been taught those skills, I may not have started this whole endeavor. Now it designing and building the outdoor kitchen! The “lol” thread
