I agree with the others, it is always a good thing to pay off debt and save money.

I know the vehicle in question. I did kind of the opposite on mine and put $25k down because of the interest rates. I got 5.49% and even that is high to me. I saved for about 4 years and that helped a lot. Cheap car payments and I cut out a lot of the interest on the front end. I pay my loans off usually 12-24 months early to boot. I traded my old car and $10k down, so I only had loan for $20k and planned the same as you. After a few months the the 5.56% was irking me. That's with USAA and excellent credit, sucks when you get used to nearly free money.




Got the tint done this week and quote for roof gloss PPF. $700, but it's worth it I guess. I need to get my appointment set for that.

Paid cash for my 1st car, '62 VW Bug back in '71.
Paid cash every since.
Bought used and brand new.
