I appreciate the offer, but I have a roll on hand. Just didn't occur to me that it would be strong enough. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Yes. I recently needed to fix some neodymium magnets to wood for a precise mate. Used a forstner bit a little big, a little deep. I mated the magnet to the metal and set them into a bed of epoxy in the slightly oversized hole. Dead flat and totally affixed. Set the controls for the heart of the Sun.

I do this all the time for the speed sensors on my racing motorcycle. A small pool of 5 minute epoxy works mint. I use west system G5 but that's just because I have it in the tool box. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

Nope, 'luminum, hence the problem. I've decided to go with drilling a little divot in the bead flange and setting the magnet in it with epoxy. Got the rim cleaned and the divot drilled, waiting on the rim to warm up to room temp before epoxying the magnet in place. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

I know you have this solved. In the past, I have had great success with the Leech product F26. It is available in many sizes.

Decided to drill a little divot in the bead flange just big enough and deep enough to accept about half the depth of the magnet and epoxied it in with JB Weld because that's what I had on hand. Between the mechanical and epoxy connection, I expect it will be good to go. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Just in case anybody was curious. Sensor is mounted with the rotor dust cover by the upper ball joint so it's static in relation to the tire in terms of steering input or suspension travel. Sensor is about 1/2 inch from the magnet, can be adjusted closer if needed. Now I just need to figure out how to set the variable for the speedo portion. The Chinglish instructions are mute on that other than telling you which parameter needs to be changed. No information at all relating parameter values to wheel size.
