I have had a B&R for over 20 yrs. Great bags. And no, they do not warranty ANY damage, just a manufacturer warranty. They won't replace worn bag damage due to handling. I sent mine in and they replaced a zipper and wheel but would not replace the trim pieces that were out from bag handling damage.

Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed.
Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists.
Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

B&R. They are expensive, but worth it. If you aren’t too picky about color, you can occasionally find a good used deal on Amazon (used as in someone bought it and returned). I found one of their grey colored large hard shell bags last year for just under $200. It’s been across country a couple of times, over seas a couple of times, and just returned from a 16 day Warsaw, London, Paris, Madrid, Frankfurt, Bangalore India trip last week. It has held up great. The only caution about any of the hard shell luggage is that it will get marks/scuffs no matter what brand, but the integrity of the inside, zippers, seal, wheels, handles, etc, stand up better on B&R better than any brand I have had.
