I wouldn’t be surprised to see the morons who showed solidarity with Lindsay Clancy to voice solidarity with this murderess too.

This seems like a good time to review Hanlon's Razor: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

...and the attendant Grey's Law, which parodies Arthur C. Clarke's Third Law: Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.

I had similar happen to me once in Hospital 3 or 4 different nurses tried to draw blood, both arms, both hands, over a dozen tries, I finally put a stop to it... Shift change... nurse that just walked in, talked me into letting her try... BANG... hit it first try!

The real injustice in all of this is 31 years!
31 years from the murder to the attempted execution! Time to dust off old sparky, always have a plan B. Do the lethal injection right in the chair... injection fails? Throw the switch! Done.

If things changed, things would be different.

In my career in laboratory medicine, I performed thousands of phlebotomy procedures and started IVs as well. For people with experience, IV failure with infiltration is almost unheard of, approaching malpractice.

I am very curious concerning the experience and training of the team. My assumption is that the names and backgrounds are held confidential.

A thought: Common gases used for general anesthesia include nitrous oxide, xenon, and various volatile anesthetics such as isoflurane, sevoflurane, and desflurane. These gases are typically administered through inhalation during surgical procedures. A painless, reliable method by overdose!

Pure nitrogen is cheaper than any of those. Or just slowly letting the air out of the room.

On the other hand, N2O could have them going out with a laugh.

Have one person strap her down and hold her in place while another person slices her throat with a box cutter.

Let the victim's family have first dibs for carrying out the action(s)

Next time, when the felon starts to 'snore loudly' simply place a pillow firmly over her face! What in the world are we doing!!! Protocol requires us to suddenly treat her like an innocent we haven't been tasked with eliminating. Nonsensical. Who would want to be associated with this level of fuckery. Capital punishment has officially been made into a clown show. We are manufacturing vegetables for the taxpayer to support.

Perhaps there is a new use for all that seized fentanyl coming across the border. "Here is some Kool Aid to wash down that last meal you ordered". No drug companies are able to protest its' use for executions and the cartels can be blamed for supplying it. Nod off, fall asleep (maybe puke) and don't wake up. Plenty of ways to administer it too, be creative.

How about she just line up with Hasan?

"Christa Pike was discharged from a local hospital and is now at Deborah K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center where she has been housed for more than 30 years," her attorneys, Stephen Ferrell, Luke Ihnen, Randy Spivey and Kelly Gleason, said in a statement Saturday. "She is grateful to the first responders and her medical team for their care in these extraordinary circumstances. She is continuing to receive medical care at the prison, and we will continue to track her recovery."

There was NO NEED to put her on a respirator in the hospital. Without one, she would have died. End of problem...
