I have long discouraged members from posting stories such as this because of the abject misery of such occurrences, but this one truly bothers me down deep. It is beyond all comprehension that any human beings would do this to a helpless child- any child- but it's even worse because these two monsters are this child's parents.

No living thing of any species deserves this slow, agonizing torture. Our mental health professionals may be able to offer some insight into this kind of behavior, since this is sadly a tale as old as humanity itself. I do know of instances of mass murderers who have a partner with whom they kill, and it is only when two such people come together do they commit their crimes, a sort of insane codependency in which they convince each other that their acts are justified. If this 10 year old has some sort of behavioral issues, the parents may have convinced themselves that they were justified in their cruelty, but of course there is no excuse of any kind for what they seem to have done.

It gets even worse, though, and this part is left out of the Fox news story, which I know some of you have already seen. A local Atlanta TV station is reporting that one of the neighbors of these sick people say these monsters had a 14 year old child living with them, and the neighbor says they have not seen that child since January. The report teases further details about the missing kid. Other children do live in the home and they have, of course, been removed from there.

Only thing I know for sure, their punishment won’t be enough.

I probably spoil my kids but occasionally I can be a tough parent. This isn’t tough, it’s deserving of being decapitated.

Based on 30+ years LE work, all I can say is that evil exists and often conceals its existence behind an appearance of normalcy.

I just looked up the weight percentages of a 10 year old boy. The 50th percentile is 70.7 lbs and the 3rd percentile is 53.3 lbs. 36 lbs is barbaric

A profoundly sad situation. I sincerely hope that kid rises like a phoenix from his heinous beginnings and has a life worthy of a Hollywood adaptation. He made it out of that freaking horror house!

I saw that and wondered how that could go on. They have to have relatives that might come into contact?

Wherever he is right now, I hope he's getting to eat whatever he wants, as much as he wants, though I'm fairly certain that the forum's physicians would say that this is not the way to recover from starvation.

Get him a quart of ice cream and a spoon. Get him a pizza all his own. Get him whatever he wants, cholesterol be damned. Give him a private room with a king size bed and with its own bath and shower and TV.

“Beyond comprehension” sums up the situation. Obviously, a neat and tidy looking suburban house, can hide horrors unimaginable to most of us. The news report makes me curious about the health and well-being of the other 4 kids, and then there’s the missing 14 year old…

I suspect he'll be most happy to be in a normal home of any sort where he can learn to live the way he deserves.

As a parent, and a grandparent, this is incomprehensible to me. How can you treat any creature that way, let alone your own child.

Hell does not have a pit deep enough for these 2 psychopaths.

I hope that these children all get the care that they need, and deserve.

They should handcuff the parents to a rail and let them starve to death. Put a camera on it where people can watch and button to click for food to be delivered, just out of reach.

They should not die quick.

The above is the absolute truth!
As a part of my former job I’ve worked with kids who were severely abused and neglected by their “parents.”

These creatures get away with it because decent people ignore the truth that is oftentimes staring them right in the face.

There is true evil in this world and this is it.

Why? Im left asking why? Why starve this boy? If you didn’t want him, hand him over to the state to be placed.

These two should never spend another day outside concrete and steel. Not one minute. Their only exposure to the outside world needs to be in pictures. They need to fully experience the cruelty of isolation until they die.

I’m not making excuses for them, didn’t read all the details.

I think the number of people with mental problems, or even ‘unhinged’ minds or thinking is widespread. That’s about the only way to explain these type of events.

Not many things upset me. This story really bothers me, not just a little. I’m really upset by this.
This poor kid. What the hell did he do to deserve that? His siblings… having to watch your brother starve to death?

Not just am I filled with rage toward those parents, but my heart breaks for those poor kids. What a house of horrors.

I’m at a loss for words.

It's crazy, you really don't know what happens behind closed doors. They need to be in prison and hope the kids get a good place to be raised and don't end up in foster care system..

That poor kid. I hope he can recoup physically and mentally. It kills me that some people are so cruel.
