Yes, usually an endorsement from Kaptain Kenya is the Kiss of Death, he always had the opposite of the Midas Touch- everything he laid his hands on turned to shit.

May it crush her campaign into dust.

Each day, I'm both more hopeful and more optimistic that Lt. Gov. Earle-Sears can win this.

With fair media coverage, it would be no contest. Lt. Gov. Earle-Sears would win in a landslide.

No doubt! This end of the state is way more civilized and decent than the northern end. Cool

When we were living in Roanoke and I was working at the VA in Salem, we felt could gladly stay there (even in Bleaksburg), but as it turns out we were better off not staying--for reasons that have nothing to do with my affection for SW Virginia.

OTOH we'd be only a four hour drive from my son, his wife, and two grandsons in Silver Spring, MD.

This would make it really easy to dispose of certain ballots before they are even opened.

Republicans Sound Alarm as ‘MASSIVE Election Security Scandal’ Exposed in Virginia Democrat Stronghold

https://slaynews.com/news/repu...ign=daily-newsletter

According to the Fairfax GOP, the design of certain ballot envelopes allows markings or impressions to be visible through the outer layer, potentially revealing selections for specific candidates.

The letter specifically mentioned concern over ballots cast in the attorney general race, where Republican incumbent Jason Miyares is seeking re-election.

Gorka’s letter called for immediate corrective action by county officials, including notifying all affected voters, recommending in-person voting whenever possible, and ensuring strict handling and storage of absentee ballots.

“We request that the Fairfax County Office of Elections acknowledge receiving our official complaint and inform the public as to the next steps they will take to secure the election,” the letter concluded.

Fairfax County, home to more than one million residents, has long been considered a Democratic stronghold in Virginia.

However, concerns about election integrity have grown among local Republicans amid record numbers of absentee ballots and extended early voting periods.

Virginia’s 45-day early voting period began on September 19 and runs through November 1.

Voters have until October 24 to request mail-in ballots.

We've GOT to curtail absentee and mail-in ballots.

I understand they're necessary in come cases (sick/elderly/non-mobile people, service members, people traveling on business, etc), but using them just for "convenience" leads to "slop in the system," in my opinion.

Same with the corrupt, clueless bimbo running for Gov of NJ, they're now dragging out Obama to go campaign for her. Hopefully it's a kiss of death there too.

Winsome Earle-Sears mocks MSNBC panel for suggesting that voting against her opponent is sexist

'Morning Joe' hosts suggested misogyny to blame for competitive Democratic women's races in Virginia and New Jersey

Great mercy, man! Roll Eyes

From the article:

Earle-Sears, Virginia's lieutenant governor and Spanberger's Republican opponent, replied to the segment, asking, "Who wants to tell them?" — referring to the fact that either woman would become the commonwealth’s first female governor if elected.

I usually dislike the early voting plan, preferring to show up in person on Election Day, sort of to prove a point. (Point: Show up, in person, on Election Day, if at all possible. And limit the early voting period to one week -- maybe two.)

In-person voting is never tough in my area anyway -- a good friend and I are usually within the first five people through the door on Election Day. There's not much crowd there first thing in the morning.

I made an exception to my own preference today, taking advantage of the early voting option. It was quick and easy, for sure.

What was interesting to me was the thick barriers between Office of Elections workers and the general public. Man, that Lexan or whatever had to be more than an inch thick. At the usual polling location there's no barrier at all, just poll workers behind folding tables.

More than 750,000 voters in Virginia have participated in early voting, according to the Virginia Public Access Project. WHSV link

Carl DeMaio, a San Diego area assemblyman (conservative and gay), explained at a rally why we should vote early:
What if someone else, using a ballot in your name, votes early?
When you vote on election day, your vote will NOT BE COUNTED until all the other ballots; and maybe not at all.
At least that’s how I remember the explanation. It was enough to convince me we should all (on our side) abandon our tradition and vote early.

Jay Jones is running for Attorney General of Virginia and is the one who wished death on his political opponents and their children.

Special prosecutor steps aside in Jay Jones speeding investigation

https://www.wdbj7.com/2025/10/...eding-investigation/

The special prosecutor appointed to investigate Attorney General candidate Jay Jones’ speeding case has stepped aside from the investigation.

Nathan Green, the Commonwealth Attorney for Williamsburg and James City County, said he has requested to be removed from the case but did not provide a reason.

Green was named to the case just yesterday.

His appointment came after the New Kent Commonwealth’s Attorney asked to be removed from the investigation, citing a potential conflict.

The probe is examining Jones’ 2022 reckless driving conviction. He was caught doing 116 miles per hour in New Kent in a 70-mile-per-hour zone.

The investigation will specifically examine how and if he performed all of his community service with his own political action committee.
